Assistant Vice President - GFX Confirmation & Settlements - Investment Banking (12-15 yrs)

- The candidate needs to have a strong FX domain knowledge with adequate experience in FX Confirmations and settlements processes

- Ability to build and manage relationships with stakeholders globally

- The candidate needs to build and strengthen key client /sales relationship which is essential requirement of the FX corporate and institutional processes.

- Drives operations excellence by suggesting and implementing process improvements, industry initiatives impacting confirmations and settlements and working on various STP initiatives.

- Ensure that the process transactions are processed as per procedures,, the quality of the transactions is in compliance with predefined parameters

- Ensure that the targets are assigned in accordance with the SLAs are met

- Ensure that the quality of the transactions is in compliance with predefined parameters

- Ability to manage/lead the project /initiative across global teams by using the project management, influencing and negotiation skills.

- Excellent organizational skills are required with the ability to prioritize daily workload, work accurately and efficiently under pressure.

- Responsible for clearing of items on the daily exception reports, clearly escalate the exceptions /issues to local and onshore management teams.

- Ability to manage, understand and mitigate the process /operational risk, the candidate will be expected to understand and challenge team procedures to continually improve and build better controls and processes.

- Understanding of Investment Banking, Fx and Derivatives,

- Thorough knowledge of trade life cycle for FX and Derivatives products with good understanding of risks and controls surrounding this function

- Understands and exhibits the importance of timely reporting and escalation of critical risks & non-compliance with policies, standards, and limits

- Anticipates risks and obstacles and devises plans to manage them

- Ability to work with across teams/locations to accomplish goals in a timely manner.

Requirements :

- Education : B.Com / MBA (Finance)

- Experience Range : Minimum 3-5 years of GFX confirmations and settlements experience, 12 to 15 years of total experience in the investment banking or financial services

Mandatory skills :

- Strong verbal and written communication skills and effective interpersonal skills

- Proven analytical skills including data reconciliation and interpretation

- Strong attention to detail and accuracy with an ability to notice minor discrepancies / issues

- Excellent FX domain knowledge

- Relationship management skills

- Stakeholder management

- Strong operations management and project management skills

- Ability to work autonomously and deliver results in a high pressured environment

- Ability to understand the process risk and ensure timely reporting and escalation of critical risks & non-compliance with policies, standards, and limits

- Ability to challenge the status quo and drive the automation /process efficiency.

Work Timings : EMEA/US - Should be flexible
