Assistant Vice President - Data Science - BFSI

Job Description :

- Operate as a Data Science / Machine Learning leader for RBWM Data and Analytics

- Lead development of global machine learning services and deploy local instances of such services in a globally consistent manner.

- Help the bank improve digital capabilities using machine learning services.

Duties and Responsibilities :

- Lead Global data science initiatives.

- Manage expectations for global and regional stakeholders.

- Actively collaborate with regional teams to develop and deploy local instances of global machine learning priorities.

- Play an active role in developing the machine learning as a service (MLaaS) ecosystem, for downstream consumption in diverse use cases.

- Ensure adherence to data ethics and compliance in developing Machine Learning solutions.

- Mentor and upskill junior data scientists in the team.

- Develop POCs in areas of skillsets/algorithms for tomorrow to keep the organization future-ready.

- Supports a culture committed to the delivery of outstanding customer service and team environment (healthy, open, transparent, honest)

Skills/Experience Required :

- 4 year Bachelor's or Master's degree from reputed University with a concentration on marketing, finance, economics or other quantitative fields such as statistics or engineering.

- Strong knowledge and understanding of financial services, machine learning skills with a minimum of 8 years of proven experience in the domain.

- Ability to comprehend the intricate and diverse range of business problems and convert them to solvable machine learning problems.

- Ability to provide thought leadership and navigate complex machine learning projects.

- Ability to work in an agile manner, develop feasible and pragmatic solutions within the constraints of data availability.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to develop and effectively communicate complex concepts and ideas

- Ability to work in cross-functional teams. Strong interpersonal skills and drive for success Demonstrated expertise in handling/having worked complex projects in an independent capacity
