Assistant Vice President - Collections - BFSI (10-20 yrs)

Job Purpose :

- Direct all recovery action and strategies across the various recovery channels and products.

- Meet the Recovery Plan for the year and ensure that the recovery team contributions help achieve Credit Cost numbers.

- Ensure that expense plans are met for the unit.

- Share & implement best practices that are working across the market and implement champion challenger programs.

- Provide feedback to Senior Manager Recoveries, Head CCRD and Head Retail Credit on portfolio quality and emerging trends.

- Must ensure that he will manage the administrative functions as the primary interface for CCRD and engage other stakeholders and departments to enable smooth function of the COE.

- Must ensure appropriate engagement with HR and other units to ensure talent management process and policies in place to combat attrition and improve employee engagement and motivation.

Requirements:

- Sound understanding of collection and recovery practices, by practical experience in the credit operations or collection and recovery department.

- Systems and procedures used in the management of large, central operations.

- People management and team building.

- Understanding of the international aspect and implications of debt collection, tracing and agency management structures.

- Technical expertise, gained through - on the job- experience

- Knowledge of personal banking products and services

- Good numerical skills

- Minimum of 10 to 12 years of relevant collections experience with at least 4-5 years of team management experience. Should have managed large teams of at least 35-40 employees

- University graduate/Post Graduate

- UAE collections experience will be a distinct advantage
