Assistant Vice President - Audit - Strategic Initiatives - Bank - IIM/XLRI/FMS/MDI/NMIMS/SP Jain (5-11 yrs)
- Help better define the role of audit vis- a-vis other Risk functions such as CRO and Compliance
- Document such understandings in a sophisticated and easily understandable form and communicate across function
- Help prepare the annual and quarterly audit plans
- Help set up a workforce management system for Audit to enable us to dynamically understand and quantify workload and allocate resources to align to expected workload
- To set up and dynamically utilize an audit resource requirement process and an internal training requirement process so that resources are available when required
- To prepare and continuously improve audit reporting to the Board and CEO
- Analyse existing audit processes to identify areas of improvement/ development
- To remain abreast of latest technology tools and capabilities and drive automation of the audit processes to improve productivity, quality and effectiveness of audit
- To examine the risk governance structures of various businesses and support functions within the bank, identify weaknesses and suggest solutions
- To evaluate process integrity of various businesses and support functions, identify weaknesses and suggest solutions
- Assisting Bank leaders in improving the quality of documentation through reviewing and suggesting improvements
Qualifications:
- MBA from a grade A/ B+ institute (IIMs, XLRI, FMS, MDI, Bajaj, NMIMS, SP Jain) is preferable, though not mandatory
- Ability to use Excel and PowerPoint is essential - ability to do basic macros and some programming using excel is a desirable
- 5 years experience in a financial services company or a service provider to the financial services industry. Experience in the areas of Operations, Risk, Audit or Compliance is preferable though not mandatory
- Working knowledge of Lean and 6 sigma and in process mapping would be an added plus
- Excellent presentation skills, and proficiency in PowerPoint
- Excellent communication, especially written communication
