Assistant Vice President - Actuarial - Insurance (5-10 yrs)

Primary :

a) Drive & Support implementation of IFRS17/IND AS 117 regime within company Life. This includes coordinating with the regional and group office of company N.V. and recommending approach to the AA/CFO for implementation.

b) Working with the AA on imminent RBC implementation including performing impact assessment for the business.

Secondary :

c) Determination of policy liabilities on market consistent basis including setting assumptions and methodology, developing and maintaining actuarial models, interacting with peer reviewer and management of valuation data.

d) Actuarial aspects of financial & shareholder reporting requirements (such as economic capital, market consistent VNB, market consistent EV, Market Value Balance Sheet, Market Value Income Statement, US GAAP and Solvency II)

e) Preparation of the market-consistent part of the Actuarial Report and Abstract, Appointed Actuary's Annual Report and Financial Condition Report, and any ad-hoc report as requested by the stakeholders including IRDAI

f) Monitoring and reporting economic solvency to the Board

g) Drive setting up business plan for the company along with other stakeholders; explaining how the choices of/changes in actuarial bases affect the plan and helping the management to optimize use of capital with a minimum profitability target

h) Monitoring performance of the company against plan and helping the Appointed Actuary recommend course corrections to the management to keep achievement within the defined plan targets

i) Support in production of enterprise risk reports

j) Support in production of actuarial reports for IRDAI

k) Support tracking of business planning and forecasts against performance; Advice management on course-corrections to bring business metrics back into plan

l) Preparation of Board group materials related to all actuarial matters

m) Build, develop and retain a team of actuaries and actuarial students aligned to the company's objectives
