Position Title : Assistant Unit HR Manager (Diversity profile)

Location : Haridwar

Main Accountabilities :

- Execute the HR strategy for the Unit.

- Executing the Human Resource strategy for future business direction.

- Executing Unit Human resource objectives and strategy for the unit.

- Employee Relations and Engagement at Unit

- Executing the unit's strategy to deal with Union's increasing influence.

- Executing strategies to engage union & union committee members to the optimum level.

- Implementing strategies for engagement of union and unionized employees through involvement

- Support in building an healthy working environment by creating sense of Belonging, Ownership & Care

- Assist in Collective bargaining and wage negotiations - Development of Wage briefs, Supporting in developing Negotiations strategy with team. Assisting in the Negotiation process.

- Help build the Involvement and participation of grass root in continuous improvement initiatives.

- Play vital role in all Conflict resolution pertaining to the workmen

- Maintain cordial relations with all workmen by regular formal and informal interaction with workmen / workmen groups and opinion leaders on the shop floor.

- Gauge and measure the IR climate of the unit with regular interactions with shop floor and line officers and managers.

HRBP for Unit :

- Ensuring compliance and quality in performance & skill assessment of all workmen

- Supporting the UHRM for compliance of all performance management activities- Ensuring Quality and Timeliness

- Ensuring manpower availability of 100% at the shopfloor (permanent & contingent labour)

- Tracking and controlling unauthorised absenteeism

- Designing Annual Training Calendar, drafting monthly training plan & monitoring compliance

- Mitigating Critical skill gaps and ensuring readiness on such identified critical skills.

- Regular formal and informal interaction with workmen, Union Leaders and opinion makers to maintain harmonious environment in the unit

- Grievance Handling of workmen & Executives

- Maintaining & Providing Welfare Amenities

Handling Exit formalities (Exit Interviews) :

- Delivering on ER Audacious Goals

- Continuous tracking and elevating the employee participation and commitment in the engagement initiatives

- Adhere to the unit IR strategy and help in avoiding any IR incident in the site

- Support in the successful implementation of the Contingent Labour mitigation plan

- Unions

- Unit Commercial, Production & Engineering Teams

- SHE, QA, Production, Commercial & TPM Executives

- Unit Factory Manager

- Unit HR Team

- HRBP - SC (Supply Chain)

- Other HR colleagues

Key Skills :

- Must have the ability to go in details of every aspect, good at conceptual skills and thorough at people management techniques.

- Should possess in-depth knowledge of labour laws and disciplinary proceedings along with its application and implementation in manufacturing facility.

- Should be able to develop and execute various interventions required from time to time in context of changing organizational culture at unit level

- Good in influencing skills and possess the maturity to handle a unionized workforce and establish a relationship of trust and transparency.

- Ability to positively influence individual behaviors and positive discipline to establish a culture of mutual respect.

- Experience in handling disciplinary proceedings, labor matters and unionized workforce is definitely an added advantage
