Assistant Sales Manager - Leisure/Corporate - Hospitality (4-6 yrs)

Designation : Assistant Sales Manager (Corporate/Leisure)

Location : Bangalore

Opening with one of the reputed Hotel Chain.

Job purpose

- To develop & grow leisure FIT and MICE business for our resorts and develop leisure segment in operating area.

- Achieve decided budgets within the operating area

- Develop markets of locations under the branch purview.

- Develop GSAs in the key markets to increase penetration

Key Areas of Responsibility

Strategy & Target

- Systematically call on Leisure Accounts within operating area

- Prequalify Key Leisure Accounts for multiple hotels. Professionally conducts routine telemarketing activities of team to identify new business opportunities from leisure clients in operating area. Follows up sales leads to identify prospect.

- Prepare an annual business plan for the leisure segment in the operating area with YOY growth & ensuring branch level objectives are fulfilled.

- Meets travel agency owners & GSA partners regularly for incremental business.

- Explore & Develop new markets.

- Bring new leisure accounts to the company

- Handhold & develop GSA partners to increase footprint.

Research & Survey

- Conduct regular Market Surveys and Competitor Research

Customer Interfacing

- Handles guest and employee enquiries in a courteous and efficient manner, reporting complaints or problems if no immediate solution can be found, whilst feeding back a prompt follow up.

- Meets travel agency owners & GSA partners regularly for incremental business.

- Plans Sales trips to different cities within the operating area.

Inspections & Connect

- Entertains and conducts hotel inspections to relevant representatives/delegates whenever required.

- Establishes strong contacts to source for information in regard to planned and up-coming functions/ events.

Leadership & Behavioral

- Market segment knowledge and mapping of Leisure Customers in operating area along with the team.

- Strong relationship with travel agents in the market and to have the ability to swing business from Competition and bring in new accounts.

- Effective leadership talents combined with necessary - team player- attitude and spirit with a natural ability to establish consensus among cross-functional lines in a collaborative environment.

- Efficient multi-tasking capability with a strong ability to plan, prioritize and manage complex business tasks under aggressive timelines.

- Must have demonstrated team-working skills and leadership qualities.

- Strong analytical skills and exceptional clarity in thinking & delivering.

- Proven negotiation skills, strong communication and presentation skills, ability to interface effectively with peers / senior management and Internal & External customers as well as ability to participate and facilitate group meetings.

- Should possess a core set of personal values ensuring the highest level of integrity in all business practices.

- Good listening skills, participative style of management and willingness to invest time and effort in people development.

- Strong interpersonal skills, ability to generate team spirit, inspire, mentor and motivate team members in the context of the organization's objectives and goals.

Qualification:

- A management graduate with atleast 4+ years of experience in Leisure Sales in operating area with recognized Hotel Company / Chain with an experience of leading a leisure sales team.

Key relationship / Customers

- Strong relationship with Travel agents (Domestic / Inbound) & MICE operators, Operational Heads, Resort Managers, Central Reservations Team and Reporting Team.
