Assistant Sales Manager - FMCG - IIM/MDI/XLRI/FMS (1-3 yrs)

Key Accountabilities :

Market :

- Responsible for achieving primary & secondary sales targets.

- Ensure that Company brands have the maximum coverage in his assigned area.

- Generate visibility for all company brands.

- Monitor, Announce & ensure implementation of all trade schemes.

- Track and provide feedback on competitor's activities in his area.

Distributor :

- Appointment of distributors, whether new or in replacement.

- Responsible for execution of orders placed by distributors and payments thereof.

- Periodic checks on the business health of the distributor including investment monitoring.

- Assess and control distributors- service level.

Company :

- Drive volumes for all company Brands from an allocated area.

- Maximize availability of company brands in his area.

- Generate reports in the specified formats on a regular basis.

- Implement line plans & sales norms (distributor holding, coverage policy, and sales reports).

- Developing Market/Area development plans.

- Developing the capability of the Team.

- Recruitment of distributor salesmen and contractual salesmen (pilots).

- Punjab is a complex territory which has a mix of rural and urban and 2 major GOTM towns Chandigarh and Ludhiana.

- It needs a seasoned hand who is aware of the nuances of running a Town with pop of 8-10 Lakhs Plus, infra along with a thorough knowledge of rural sales ops

- He needs to have at least 1-2 years of proven track record in sales ( including MT stint) as a first line manager and from a Tier 1 B schools which will make him scalable for future elevation and cross functional growth prospects.

Profile requirement :

- MBA from Premier B School (same as from where we hire MT) - IIMs, XLRI, MDI, IMT, FMS, IMI, SCMHRD, SIBM, NMIMS, etc

- Batch 2014, 2013, 2012

- Exp - pref FMCG Foods (Cadbury, HUL, Pepsi foods, Marico, Kellogs, Reckitt

- Good sales understanding, familiar with sales automation, analytical skills
