Assistant Project Manager - FMCG/Manufacturing (6-15 yrs)

Purpose:

Under the supervision of the Head of Special Projects, this position assists in the implementation of projects, both administrative and/or instructional. Job incumbent will contribute to the evolution of the documentation and methods of the project. Assist in the coordination of various events/resources in the planning, ordering, implementation, installation and follow-on cycle. The main mission of the position is to ensure projects are on track and to highlight risks or showstoppers to take the necessary corrective actions to ensure smooth, efficient and successful execution. He/she might be involved in more than one project at the same time

Main Duties:

- Assist in managing projects with different nature including but not limited to: technical, IT, economic, financial- etc.

- Participate in coordinating the personnel required to complete the project

- Assist with managing paperwork

- Follow up on execution, deliverables, deadlines

- Attend meetings and take down minutes and follow up on the execution of agreed-upon actions

- Maintain and update status logs, and contribute to progress reports produced for stakeholders

- Develop and update charts

- Identify risks and critical paths and work on proactive solutions and follow up on corrective actions

- Review contracts and agreements

Job requirements:

- Bachelor/Master's degree in engineering, business administration or any relevant study

- PMP or six sigma certified is a great plus

- 6 years- experience in project management

- Background of different natures of projects is a great plus

- Experience in reading and understanding contracts

- Ability to apply project management concepts

- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing

- Ability to plan and organize

- Excellent presentation skills

- Resilient to coping with conflicting demands

- Able to prioritize duties and work under pressure

- Very good at using applications such as spreadsheets, word processing, calendar, e-mail and project management

- High follow up skills

- Result oriented
