Assistant Manager/Senior - Financial Accounting & Advisory Services (3-7 yrs)

Financial Accounting and Advisory Services - Senior

The role:

This role will suit an ambitious motivated person who is willing and interested in getting involved with helping the team. Our clients include some of the world's largest multinational companies. This role can involve international work with an opportunity to travel. We are keen to broaden this role out to include other opportunities within the FAAS team in time.

The FAAS team are a group of proactive accounting specialists who are focused on providing practical solutions to our clients- complex financial reporting issues. Our - on call- ethos means we are able to respond quickly to fast moving business processes and timelines - whether assisting with advice related to transactions or working to tight financial close deadlines.

Main responsibilities:

- working with clients to prepare and review financial statements under IFRS and US GAAP;

- working with clients to optimize several business functions, this may include projects relating to the financial statement process, review and remediation of business processes and short term interim staffing assignments;

- working within a team environment to ensure deadlines are met; and

- promoting FAAS both internally and externally.

Skills and attributes:

- ACA/ACCA qualified or equivalent IFAC qualification;

- minimum 1 years- PQE;

- experience in financial services/funds industry;

- audit experience of large companies, multinational entities and complex financial instruments;

- proficient accountant, with strong knowledge of IFRS & US GAAP and some knowledge of Irish GAAP and Luxembourg GAAP;

- strong understanding of regulatory requirements related to funds industry;

- strong computer skills - advanced knowledge of Microsoft office;

- excellent attention to detail and resolves issues as they arise;

- strong communicator, highly articulate with good report writing and excel skills;

- ability to learn quickly and keep abreast of developments (particularly IFRS and US GAAP);

- ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines;

- experience of working as part of a team supporting others.

Main responsibilities:

- take responsibility for a portfolio of FAAS clients to prepare and review financial statements under IFRS and US GAAP;

- working with clients to optimize several business functions, this may include projects relating to the financial statement process, review and remediation of business processes and short term interim staffing assignments;

- for the more technically demanding projects, there may be the need for on-site management and assist in the performance of complex sections such as Share Based Compensation, Revenue Recognition and other critical areas in order to meet project deadlines;

- co-ordinate work in progress, billing, cash collection and budgeting

- working within a team environment to ensure deadlines are met; and

- promoting FAAS both internally and externally.

- ACA/ACCA qualified or equivalent IFAC qualification;

- minimum 1-2 years- PQE;

- experience in financial services/funds industry;

- audit experience of large companies, multinational entities and complex financial instruments;

- proficient accountant, with extensive knowledge of IFRS & US GAAP and some knowledge of Irish GAAP and Luxembourg GAAP;

- strong understanding of regulatory requirements related to funds industry;

- strong computer skills - advanced knowledge of Microsoft office;
