Assistant Sales Manager


Job Description:

- We are seeking an experienced Assistant Sales Manager with a strong background in the Building Material Industry or related segments.

- The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving project sales, managing key accounts, and building long-term relationships with architects, builders, and stakeholders in the industrial, healthcare, and hospitality sectors.

- This role requires a customer-centric approach, a deep understanding of project sales, and expertise in managing complex, high-stake projects.

Key Responsibilities:

- Sales and Business Development.

- Drive sales by identifying, targeting, and developing business opportunities in the building materials segment.

- Manage project sales and specification sales, ensuring alignment with client needs and industry standards.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business growth through proactive sales strategies.

Key Account Management:

- Handle and strengthen relationships with key accounts, including architects, builders, and contractors in the industrial, healthcare, and hospitality sectors.

- Understand and anticipate client needs, providing them with tailored solutions and project specific recommendations.

- Act as the primary contact for major clients, addressing inquiries, managing expectations, and ensuring customer satisfaction.

Market and Stakeholder Engagement:

- Maintain an extensive network with key industry stakeholders to identify trends, track competitor activities, and uncover new sales opportunities.

- Engage with internal and external stakeholders to streamline project requirements and meet organizational goals.

- Attend industry events and trade shows to expand network and maintain a visible company presence in the market.

Project Management Support:

- Leverage understanding of engineering drawings, sustainability standards, and project management to support clients effectively.

- Work closely with project teams to ensure timely and efficient delivery, aligning with technical specifications and customer expectations.

Sales Analytics and Reporting:

- Use data-driven insights to monitor sales performance, analyze key metrics, and identify areas for improvement.

- Prepare regular reports and presentations for senior management, providing updates on account status, sales pipeline, and forecasted revenue.

Required Skills:

- Sales and Market Knowledge: Strong understanding of sales function, project sales, and specification sales within the building materials or related industry.

- Key Account Management: Proven experience managing relationships with architects, builders, and project stakeholders, especially within the industrial, healthcare, and hospitality sectors.

- Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication and networking abilities, with fluency in the local language being essential.

- Persuasion and Negotiation Skills: Strong skills in persuasion and negotiation, with a customer-centric approach.

- Analytical and Solution-Oriented Approach: Ability to interpret data, solve problems, and apply a results-driven mindset to overcome challenges.
