Job brief:
As an Assistant Manager candidate will be responsible for Sourcing Food and Agri based raw materials, goods, services and managing vendors.
The successful candidate will be able to perform strategic procurement activities across multiple categories of spend, search for better deals and find more profitable suppliers.
Candidate is responsible for organizing and supervising RAW MATERIALS purchasing functions of Companies; managing daily activities in purchasing to include day to day and long-term purchases; managing contracts including administering, negotiating, reviewing, renewing, filing, and evaluating for availability, price, term, and quality of products. Undertaking Ariba/Procol bid process and ensuring compliance of policies and regulations
Responsibilities:
- Develop, lead, and execute purchasing strategies.
- Track and report key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness.
- Craft negotiation strategies and close deals with optimal terms.
- Partner with stakeholders to ensure clear requirements documentation.
- Forecast price and market trends to identify changes of balance in buyer-supplier power.
- Perform cost and scenario analysis, and benchmarking.
- Assess, manage, and mitigate risks.
- Seek and partner with reliable vendors and suppliers.
- Determine quantity and timing of deliveries.
- Monitor and forecast upcoming levels of demand.
- Ensure buying is routing through proper E-auctions - Ariba and Procol as per SOP.
- Manage contracts and purchase order/s in SAP and securing necessary approvals.
