Assistant Manager - Marketing & Publicity (3-9 yrs)
We are a leading Executive Search Firm catering to various sectors. We are looking for a suitable candidate for the following position on behalf of a client which is a leading publishing house.
Role Purpose : Responsible for managing publicity and marketing for the assigned titles (local & international), through different mediums including activations, campaigns, digital mediums, media coverage etc.Also supporting larger branding events
Stakeholders :
Internal : Editorial, Sales, Production
External : Authors, Media Representatives, PR Agencies, Vendors
Key Responsibilities
- Manage publicity and promotions plans for authors, lists and imprints as decided, in both traditional, electronic and digital media.
- Planning and executing other BTL activities such as promotional tie-ups with different companies and associations. Planning retail and sales promotions. Maintaining a strategy and an update on all plans.
- Managing author relationships with promotion and publicity department, address related queries, managing their expectations best and keeping them regularly updated on all progress with their book.
- Coordinating with internal and external teams. Briefing and managing design and print agencies and other outsourced vendors.
- Liaise with media to ensure regular and high coverage for books on list. Ideating PR plans and promotional material for media as required.
- Build strategic relationships with key media
- Work with physical and online retail marketing contacts for promotion of titles in stores and online
- Manage and ideate print marketing for specified books, and also coordinate with the Marketing Executive for timely and error-free dispatch of the same
- Event Planning and Marketing: Planning and organizing details of book readings, bookshop events, literary festival events etc.
- Working within any set budget for titles allocated
