Assistant Manager/Manager - Production Planning & Control - Auto (9-15 yrs)

Position: Production Planning & Control - Chakan

Job Description:

Production Planning Manager will be responsible for leading the production planning group to effectively create and maintain an efficient production schedule that meets customer requirements ensuring material flow across supply chain to support the current and next months production plans regulating the product mix, minimizing cycle times and effectively utilizing inventory. 

RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES: 

Operational: 




- Maintain a valid capacity requirement plan which supports the master production plan.

 - Create and share the monthly production plan maintaining the targeted inventories of finished Goods & Raw materials.

 - Identify and manage bottlenecks and capacity issues with the Production Management team, co-ordinate internally and externally the resolution of the issues. Ensuring alternate vendor source readiness, controlling SOB between vendors etc.

 - Lead weekly/monthly Production Schedule meetings for regulating the product mix based on Runner Repeater Stranger models and share the rolling plan with all.

 - Liaise with Engineering, Purchasing, Manufacturing, Manufacturing Engineering, to manage the Engineering change implementation for existing model and hassle free introduction of new model. Ensure Zero Nonmoving during changeover

 - Liaise with Purchase, MIS, Finance for vendor process, product, commercial issue ( PO ; Logistics etc.) 

- Understand the BOM Material consumption as per BOM and for correct material accounting.

- Carryout PIV for all factory and Vendor parts, Timely disposal of Rejections from Vendor and Factory.

- Establish and monitor MIS system parameters, including safety stock levels for finished goods and raw material inventories. 

- Oversee & Mentor Vendor cluster making them competent to ensure QCD improvements development capability in lead time reduction, Management Capability etc.

- Monitoring on time delivery at optimum cost with optimum inventory levels ensuring no logistics losses, transportation cost, inventory carrying cost etc.

- Establish IoT based system to make supply chain visible and enable timely decision making.

 - Developing the JIT supply using E- Kanban , Establishing Milk run supply etc. - Create weekly/monthly reports and KPIs.

- Maintain a high standard of professional knowledge, ethics and practices when dealing with customers, suppliers, peers, subordinates, supervisors and other key stakeholders of the company 

- Conduct oneself in a professional manner that reflects integrity and respect towards customers, suppliers, peers, subordinates, supervisors and other key stakeholders of the company

 - REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES: 




- 9-15 yrs of experience in planning/scheduling in a manufacturing environment 




- Experience with Automotive components procurement and JIT supply 




- Knowledge with SAP will be preferable 




- Minimum of three years of leadership experience.
