Assistant Manager - Industrial Relations - FMCG/Chemicals (6-10 yrs)

Payroll and Welfare Administration

- Managing Time Office and Payroll for workmen/temporary (wherever applicable/ FTC (wherever applicable)

- Payroll and QPR administration

- Controlling and managing the Access Control System of the factory (this would include managing Security)

- Welfare administration for the factory - this would include Locker Rooms, Uniforms, Canteen management, Bus, Gardening, OHC, GHK etc.

- General administration - guest house (if any), factory vehicles, travel and ticketing, etc.

Legal and Statutory Compliance

- Ensuring Statutory Compliance to all applicable Labour Laws and standards

- Conducting regular audits to monitor compliance

- Managing the outsourced service provider for Legal Compliance

- Handling of pending legal cases of the unit

- Mitigating gaps highlighted through the CAD audit

- Supporting new projects (if any at the site) - in- terms of meeting all legal compliances and requirements before start-up

Industrial relations :

- Proactive pulse check of both the internal as well as the external environment

- Liaisoning- with the government authorities as per the liaisoning matrix and as and when required

- Discipline and conflict management at the site

- Anchoring the Collective bargaining discussions with the workforce and signing the LTS as and when due

- Activating and maintaining constant communication with the workforce representative body

- Ensuring timely Grievance Redressal

- Custodian of all central ER policies. Ensuring deployment and implementation of the same

Business Partnering :

- Recruitment of Workmen as per business requirements in line with the Central Recruitment Policy

- Ensuring seamless induction of new joinee workmen in line with the Central Standardized Induction program

- Recruitment and deployment of FTCs in line with the business requirement and approvals

- Seamless Induction

- Partners the unit leadership in manpower planning and re-deployment for existing/new projects

- Implementing- TPMedge E&T checklist for workmen skill building

- Anchoring Annual Performance Appraisals for workmen along with skill profiling - Rolling out Sparkle in this regard and ensuring 100% OTIF implementation

- For units under workmen recruitment phase - anchoring the Quarterly Performance Appraisal System for workmen under training and probation period

- Driving performance culture at the unit through - implementation of 3+1, Mid Year Reviews, PDP & DAP discussions, PIP plans, performance ratings and normalization

- Driving e-learning at the site through LMS and LTO, ensuring target compliance 100% OTIF

- Custodian of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) at the site - makes and implements the action plan

- Maintaining Data hygiene - Sparkle (workmen), Peoplesoft (through PMOL for WL1)

- Custodian and anchor of PLOL at the site

- Formulating and Managing the overall HR and Welfare budget of the unit in line with the unit priorities

Employee Engagement-

- Formulating and implementing the Engagement Calendar of the unit

- Rolling out and organizing Engagement Activities- in line with the above calendar and business requirements

- Establishing, activating and sustaining communication channels for Workmen - e.g. Quarterly FM Cascades, Committee meetings like Canteen, Sports, etc.

- Activating and Administering the Global People Survey (GPS)

- Custodian of the GPS score of the unit, drives action planning discussions and anchors the implementation of the GPS action plan - tracks and monitors improvements as and when pulse checks happen

- R&R administration - establishes, implements and reviews the R&R scheme of the site for workmen

Organization Development and Change

- Driving the change agenda for the unit as well as ensuring smooth transition of any central change agenda

- Monitoring and controlling workforce absenteeism in the site

- Driving the capability agenda for the unit specific and Workmen in line with business needs

- Driving performance culture mindset for the workmen

- Working on Central ER Projects in the area of culture, capability and techno-solutions
