Assistant Manager - HR Technology Projects - HRIS - Consulting Firm (4-6 yrs)

Purpose of the job:

To assess functional requirements and to manage and monitor the progress of HR Technology projects in order to ensure smooth flow of all HR operations; handle projects related to HR (end to end), enhancements, system issues while interacting with HR-COEs / HR-Business Partners / IT /Vendor stakeholders and other teams as required.

About the Role:

- As part of Technology transformation journey, we are looking for a dynamic individual to work in the Digital ecosystem within the HR organization. The HR Technology Project Manager is a techno-functional resource responsible for planning, managing, and successfully implementing new and cycle-based projects for the HR organisation. 


- The individual will have strong experience managing multiple HR technology projects and are experienced in effectively communicating, scoping and planning projects with cost and timeline information. (S)he will ensure projects are delivered on time and on budget, meeting the customer's stated and implied business needs. (S)he should have experience in HR business processes and platforms, and must have been part of implementation projects in a medium to large organisation or in other complex environments.

Educational Qualification: Bachelor or a Master degree in Computers or equivalent

Right Person:

- Desired candidate should have 4 to 5 years of experience in technology implementation in any reputed organisation.

- Self-starter, strong drive, bias for action and result oriented

- Highly organized, able to prioritize and work under pressure on a number of projects at the same time with proven success

- Enthusiastic team player with a strong drive to create a positive work environment

- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate at all levels within and outside the organization

- Familiarity with project management approaches

- Hands-on experience participating in software implementation projects as part of the implementation team

- Demonstrated strong proficiency utilizing project management tools such as MS Project and other MS Office toolsets (Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, G-Suite, etc.).

- Strong on process documentation

- Partner and vendor management experience

- Prior experience with Time and Attendance (Kronos), Human Capital Management (SuccessFactors), Payroll (Oracle), Web Designing, DotNet, SQL, or other professional services solutions strongly preferred

- Prior experience in HRIS engagements as a Project Manager role strongly preferred

Key Responsibilities (including but not limited to):

- Assessing requirements received from functional stakeholders and documenting the same and reviewing requirements

- Project Scoping (Agree on start point and end point and dimensions)

- Define Project objectives, business improvements and capabilities to be achieved at the end of the project

- Partner with HR, IT, and Business project sponsors to bring definition to a project; create project plan outlining scope, objectives, deliverables, dependencies, responsibilities, resource requirements, and timelines

- Overall Project development and liaison with IT team for IT governance

- Evaluate deadlines and budgets to make sure the project remains on schedule. Activities include but not limited to: rearranging schedules, prioritizing various activities, making recommendations to support budget

- Timely review of Project Progress to ensure implementation as per agreed timelines

- Effectively using escalation matrix to ensure delivery as per timelines

- Work closely with Functional and IT Sponsors to resolve key issues

- Mediate cross functional issues faced during project execution

- UAT test scripts finalization, data preparation & execution / sign-offs

- Ensure project is delivered on-time and on-budget

- Partner with decision-makers, external consultants and end users to recommend optimal business processes relative to standard functionality.

- Ensure projects are managed against the requirements of scope of work and manage applicable change control process

- Drive and monitor escalations up and down program and project governance paths

- Ensure a consistently high-level of quality deliverables throughout all projects

- Share knowledge to continually improve deployment methodology
