Assistant Manager- Finance (Payroll)- FMCG/Consumer Goods background

We are currently looking for an Assistant Manager- Finance (Payroll) for one of the topmost packaged consumer goods Conglomerate in India. The position is to be based at Delhi.

Position Summary :

This position will be based at Delhi and reporting to Sr. Manager Financial Controlling.

Responsibilities and Accountabilities :

Payroll Processing:

- Responsible for uploading & validating Payroll Inputs in Payroll Vendor Portal with HRMS, SAP & Inputs shared by HRBPs and approving the same in the system.

- Co-ordination with HRBPs for Inputs & changes.

- Verifying Salary Register & ensuring inputs processed correctly in Salary Register.

- Responsible for validating Income Tax Computation of Employees (on sample basis) and ensuring correct deduction of TDS from employees.

- Responsible for validating Bank File, Pay Summary, Variance Reports etc and getting Finance Head & HR Head clearance for Salary Payout.

- Responsible for processing monthly payout of SAF/NPS & sharing payout details with Vendor & getting member account updated.

- Validating of Tax Declaration Report of Employees (on sample basis) & addressing queries of employees with regard to same.

- Resolution of employee queries with regard to year end Actual documents submission.

F&F Processing :

- Responsible for uploading & validating F&F Inputs received from HRBPs in Vendor Portal.

- Responsible for reviewing F&F register & F&F Statement for its correctness.

- Sharing F&F statement with employees and query resolution.

- Liaison with Payroll vendor & getting F&F revised in case of any changes.

- Validation of Bank File and ensuring payout within TAT.

Payroll Compliances :

- Responsible for validation of PF, TDS, NPS, SAF, LWF, P.Tax Reports.

- Responsible for validation & payment of PF, TDS, P.Tax & other statutory challans.

- Responsible for validation of PF, TDS, P.Tax & other statutory Returns before filing.

- Responsible for updating compliances in Payroll Vendor & in-house compliance tool.

- Form 16 generation & Validation - Responsible for Escalation & Query Resolution.

- Responsible for assessment of Provident Fund, P.Tax etc.

Budgeting/Forecasting People Cost :

- Forecasting FTE & Retail TSI Cost for AOC, & Rolling estimates based on inputs on changes to Structure / Assignments, additional approved H/C, Compensation & Vacancies from HRBPs and C&B team.

- Creation of AOC & Estimates FTE & TSI Cost file incorporating inputs from HRBPs & with monthly phasing.

- Creation of cost summary by function, cost elements & months and cost summary.

- Sharing variance analysis of FTE & Retail TSI cost with HRBPs.

Audits :

- Responsible for Payroll Audit by Global HR Services.

- Responsible for coordinating Statutory Audit with regard to Payroll.

- Responsible for providing information & getting Internal Audit done by the Global IA team.

Payroll Vendor Co-Ordination :

- Liaison with Vendor with regard to Observation & changes required in Payroll.

- Conducting Monthly & Annual review of Payroll Vendor to ensure smooth payroll processing.

- Responsible for renewing/changing contract with Vendor.

- Liaison with the Payroll Vendor for process improvement & product development.

Others :

- Coordinating Provident Fund Account Opening & transfer for new employees.

- Coordinating new account opening & transfer of NPS for new employees with Bank.

- Maintaining Payroll Records & Files for future use.

Professional/Technical Accreditations :

- CA with around 2-3 years of experience

- Strong Understanding of Income Tax, tax laws with regard to TDS, P.Tax, PF etc.

- Working Knowledge of SAP

- Expert in MS Excel / MS Word / Power-Point

Competencies :

- Should ensure accountability of Actions and should be Self-Motivated & Action Oriented.

- Collaborative - Ability to build trust & sustainable interpersonal relationships with multiple stakeholders. Able to build and maintain lasting relationships with other departments, key business partners and government agencies.

- Strong technical skills.

- Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines and drive projects to completion.

Job Location : New Delhi

Salary : Best among the industry (Could Range around Rs.15.0-16.0 LPA)
