Assistant Manager - Field and Inside Sales, Strip Division

- We are now looking for an Assistant Manager - Field and Inside Sales for Strip Division in India. This is a position where the focus is to provide high service levels to our customers, internal & external liasioning and develop sales for Strip products in India.

The location for this position is Pune.

Your challenge

As the Assistant Manager - Field and Inside Sales, you will be an individual contributor and first point of contact for all present / future customers. You will be responsible for -

Field Sales Activities:

- Enquiry to Order & Order to Cash processes and Contract Reviews.

- Focus on new business development and generate enquiries from targeted segments.

- Develop new sales opportunities and optimize existing customer accounts to increase product market share and for new product introduction.

- Customer visits to assess total potential and Achieve sales and profitability targets.

- Monitor and report customer and competitor activities.

- Coordinate with Product Management for pricing and delivery.

- Sales MIS management and reporting and Engage in preparation of business plans, forecasts, presentations & reports.

Sales Support and Order Desk Activities:

- Own and handle all Inside Sales activities within organization & to the customers, Prepare all verbal / written offers, Support customers in material selection and sample requests, Negotiate and handle orders and supplies.

- Ensure that customer contacts, communications, orders, records, and other documents are updated in the CRM / SSCS / SOPIC systems.

- Liaison and network between the market place and market service/planning/shipping department in Operation Unit at Sweden for effective coordination, processing and execution of customer orders.

- Ensure effective control over commercial documentation and procedures, payment collection, reconciliation of Accounts Receivables etc.

- Report and resolve customer claims regarding products and services by utilizing complaint handling system and processes as defined by the division.

- Ensure compliance with relevant statutory and corporate rules & regulations and handle internal controls and certification related procedures and audits for the department.

- Carry out / support various administration and market communication tasks as necessary.

Your profile

- We are looking for someone with an academic background of Graduate/Post Graduate/Diploma in Engineering (Additional qualification in Business/Marketing management would be preferred) and 5-8 years of experience in managing end-to-end sales process of engineering products, preferably industrial steel material, parts and components.


- In this position, you need good knowledge of Sales process & activities alongwith EXIM matters and you have a proven track record from working with MIS & reportings. Your communication skills in English are excellent, both verbally and in writing.

You understand the business requirements and you need to act on urgent, short-term and long-term Sales demand. You will travel PAN India as needed.
