Assistant Manager - Employee Relations & Plant HR - FMCG (4-8 yrs)

We are currently looking for an Assistant Manager- ER and Plant HR for one of the topmost FMCG Conglomerates in India. The position is to be based at Haridwar or Baddi.

Purpose of the Job:

Responsible for assisting in ensuring fair and sustainable Industrial relations with independent responsibility for providing personnel services to various departments and provide HR support

Principal Accountabilities

1.  Administration of the employee welfare amenities provided under the law like Wash Room / Change rooms etc

2.  Assist in preparation and regular maintenance of budgets, positioning decisions and annual appraisal process

3.  Coordination with the Time keepers

4.  Develop an excellent relationship with the authorities

5.  Engagement of apprentices as per quota

6. Ensure adherences to all stat provisions pertaining to engagement of new contractor

7.  Ensure renewal of individual license of the electricians

8.  Ensure that all the records required to be maintained by the contractor as per the provisions of the CL (R&A) Act are maintained in the desired manner

9.  Ensure that the medical check-ups as required under the law like eye examination for the electricians & the FLTOs are conducted at the prescribed frequency & records are maintained in the prescribed format

10.  Ensuring availability of Shift Schedule

11.  Ensuring compliance to the working hours / weekly day of rest etc

12. Ensuring timely payment of the terminal benefits in case of separations

13. Guide and assist the enquiry officers & the management Representative in the course of any disciplinary proceedings- ensuring that the proceedings are as per legal framework

14.  Handle inspections by stat authorities

15.  Maintain the record required under the law in the prescribed formats

16.  Maintain the stat provisions w.r.t. working hours, overtime, weekly holidays, compensatory holiday, leave with wage, rate of overtime wage

17.  Meeting the stat authorities as per the T&RA Matrix

18. Monitor working hours, overtime, spread-over, weekly-off, leave with wage, P.F. & EST coverage, payment of wage, minimum wage of the contract labour engaged

19. Notification to employment exchange regarding the vacancies

20.  Preparing and filling of returns within the stipulated timeframe & Maintain the checklist for the same

21.  Regular monitoring &control of the no. of contract labours engaged w.r.t the registration certificate of the PE

22. Seek opinion from lawyers on various legal issues

23.  Sharing legal updates with the other Managers of the unit

24.  Sustain positive relation with employees

25. Tie-ups with nursing homes & hospitals, periodic visit to such nursing homes & hospitals

26.  To create a robust system of maintaining the organization structure in terms of numbers and positioning against sanctioned strength

27.  To deal with Union delegates/ office bearers in a positive manner and to resolve day to day grievances/ issues raised by them, as also to negotiate on issues with them

28.  To design and implement training calendar based on identified needs, as well as maintain and update database of training sources, consultants, institutes, costs etc

29.  To ensure the best available pool of talent by constantly monitoring, analyzing and scouting for resources to fulfill the recruitment needs for the factory

30.  To help create a positive and proactive work atmosphere through meaningful interventions like communication, training and development, discussions with union leaders and key opinions leaders

31.  To represent the company before the conciliation officer in legal and cases and disputes- to deal with misconduct cases and disciplinary proceedings

Knowledge:

- Concepts, theories & practices in ER

- Understand employees philosophies, their vital issues, shop floor alliances

- Contemporary recruitment processes, Compensation fitments, Manpower planning, Competency based recruitments and awareness of relevant HR software.

- Knowledge of contemporary training and development tools, including computer based training, understanding of Organizational behaviour and approaches to management development.

- Knowledge of various statutes, wage and salary calculations, budgeting techniques and conduct of disciplinary enquiries. Application of factory standing orders.

- Ability to build relationships with local it is & other such bodies

- Knowledge of recruitment procedures

- Understanding of the logics and in-depth understanding of the expenses

Role Requirements :

a. Education/Qualification : An MSW /MBA- HR / PMIR with requisite experience in Plant IR and HR in a large Manufacturing plant. Role Requirements / Specifications

ora Recognized degree in Personnel management and / or IR degree in Law with experience in an IR position for at least 2 years with an understanding of HR issues

Salary : Around Rs. 20.0-22.0 LPA (Although not a limiting factor)

Location : Haridwar/ Baddi
