Experience a demand planning/forecasting, Supply planning and coordinating S&OP process. (preferable experience in FMCG )

Theme of the Role

- Individual will need to use the analytical, marketing, and sales data of the organization to effectively estimate product demands and perform duties like planning inventory flow, analyzing statistical data, generating forecasting solutions & driving S&OP process.

Key Deliverables:

Demand forecasting -

- Develop effective forecast models for FCL Brands, based on industry trends and demand patterns from the extensive data available from formats, Small Store Membership Programme, in complete coordination with the Brand Entrepreneurs, Zones & Category managers

- Work with team of Data scientists to use latest AI (Artificial Intelligence) / ML (Machine learning) techniques for forecasting & demand planning

- Propose and implement Data enabled driven solutions to improve demand forecast accuracy, keeping in mind FCL (high growth objective for small & large format stores)

- Successfully communicate forecast and inventory estimations to management and the brand entrepreneurs without putting constraint on the progressive sales forecast

Demand Review process -

- Drive S&OP and support management with risk assessments and mitigation activities

- Identify gaps to Business plan (Volume and Value) proactively and ensure visibility of the same through the Demand Review Process

- Facilitates identification of Risk and Opportunities to bridge the Business plan gaps

- Responsible for availability, fill rate, and freshness - Work in close coordination with supply chain team to enable S&OP

- Conduct monthly forecast maintenance & address demand-related issues in a timely and effective manner.

- 0-1 Processes (New launches)

- Help Brand Entrepreneurs (BE's) in Zero to One bottom-up forecast. Create positive overrides on the demand forecast and finalize the consensus marketing demand forecast (qualitative demand forecast).

Network planning :-

- Based on the demand node identify/develop the most efficient source for satisfying the demand.

This will involve :-

- Optimizing Lead time

- Optimizing the total landed cost of servicing (cost of finished good as well as the cost of transportation) after considering capacity constraints at the source

Competencies 'Must have':

- Is an effective people manager, leader and communicator: successfully manages and develops people according to the needs of the specific Unit

- Highly skilled in Dealing with Ambiguity

- Highly analytical, process and tech oriented and ability to look at issues dispassionately

- Ensures good collaboration, communication and problem solving in the team and across organizational boundaries.

Competencies "Wants":

- Ability to exercise initiative and sound judgment and to react with discretion under varying conditions

- Fluent with Statistical Forecasting tools Attention to detail yet able to see the big picture

- Critical personality attributes

- Good Communication Skills- Both written and Verbal

- Good Negotiation Skills to drive the solution

- Excellent Interpersonal Skills with an ability to partner with dynamic cross functional teams

- Should be familiar with ERP systems such as SAP/ APO/JDA/IBP etc

- Analytical Mindset

- Ability to generate synergies across formats and teams

- A minimum of 2-4 years of experience in a demand planning/forecasting, Supply planning and coordinating S&OP process. (preferable experience in FMCG )
