- The core objective of this role is to facilitate and govern mission-critical Corporate Master and Reference Data in the Data Lake Platform for Unilever. The role will be responsible for ensuring availability of Master Data for Data Lake Use cases that are: Available on time, Complete, Relevant, Consistent, with High Quality & Data Integrity, at optimal levels of Security.

Description

The role has three main accountabilities:

- Analyse existing Master Data Ingestions into UDL and BDL, identify harmonization / de-duplication opportunities and ensure single-and-best-source of truth. Focus on past data collections done for different multiple functions (SC, Finance etc) and propose best, harmonized model for ingesting and consuming MD Objects within Data Lake.

- Review new requests for Master and Reference Data in Data Lake, analyse the need for incremental ingestion from internal / external data sources and facilitate design, build, test and delivery of such integrations



- Help establish a robust framework of governing master and reference data in Data Lake. Establish relevant business processes, Data Quality Management frameworks etc., for Data Lake MD.


As a vital member of the Global Data Center of Excellence, you will be primarily responsible for ensuring that the demands of our business users in the Data Lake are met, through provisioning of appropriate Master Data objects. You will therefore work closely with the SMEs from Corporate Master Data Teams, Regional Data Teams and other relevant internal / external stakeholders, understand nuances of the data model and propose a simplified and harmonized solution for Data Lake.

Profile

All About You

The ideal candidate will be a well-rounded MDM Analyst with sharp acumen of Corporate Product, Finance and Customer Master Data Models and best practices prevailing in the industry. S/he will be a hands-on data analyst with hands on experience in analyzing large and complex Master Data Objects in the past.

Relevant Experience:

- Bachelor's degree in computer science, statistics, mathematics, data modelling, economics, finance, business administration or similar technical background

- Minimum 6+ years in demonstrable enterprise value realization from master data management and data governance.



- Strong exposure to Azure Data Lake, specifically around Master Data Ingestions and consumptions (UDL, BDL and preferably PDS) from multiple sources.



- Ability to manage multiple requests and priorities simultaneously in a time-bound fashion



- Knowledge of SQL and other technical solutions is highly preferred



- Knowledge of Kalido Suite of Master Data Solutions is a big plus

- Master Data Models across Functions: Products, Finance, Customer MD - Fully Operational

- Master Data Ingestion and Consumption Methods in Azure Data Lake - Fully Operational



- Functional Understanding of CPG / FMCG Industry and best practices - Working Knowledge



- SQL and related technical tools - Working Knowledge



- Business Engagement, Functional Analysis, Solution Design - Working Knowledge


General Skills

- Strong Communication, Documentation and Presentation Skills

- Team Management - Preferable



- Project Management - Preferable
