Assistant Manager - Corporate Strategy and Planning - MBA Finance

Client is a Multinational Conglomerate having business in different verticals and is looking for Assistant Manager - Corporate Strategy and Planning who can join them at the Group level

A) Key Result Areas :

1) To assist in analysing & to provide inputs for current and new business opportunities and plans to determine financial effectiveness

2) To assist in formulating business strategies, streamlining and aligning the business processes

3) Monitoring Company performance in detail and depth on a monthly basis including existing investments, and developing support strategies as required

4) To study market trends, collect market intelligence data analysis and interpretation of market intelligence data and comparison with current operations

5) To ensure monitoring and analysis of MIS reports of different businesses as per the guidelines and timelines

6) To assist in analysing gross contributions, highlight significant deviations & initiate corrective action

7) Evaluate investment opportunities (start-ups or new industry/ sector) by conducting due diligence, business and financial analysis and preparing investment analysis and recommendations report

8) To provide recommendations and facilitate investment decisions

1) Experience across different types of businesses, sectors and industries i.e. multi-dimensional experience

2) Strong Conceptual Knowledge

3) Attention to details and add value to each of the assigned tasks

4) Experience in interacting with Senior Management and Promoters

5) Excellent Communication Skills is a must

7) Ability to advise on possible decisions and take independent decisions when required

C) The Perfect Candidate :

1) MBA from a reputed institute

2) Overall work experience of 5-7 years

3) Minimum work experience of 2-3 years with a reputed corporate or family office investments or a VC firm

4) Strong financial and business analysis skills as demonstrated by prior experience including financial modelling

5) Capable of understanding new businesses and should have entrepreneurial flair

6) Must have experience in evaluating several different start-up or investment opportunities in different sectors as well as experience to execute these investments

7) Experience of closing at least one or two start-up investments, right from deal evaluation, term sheet, transaction documents (SHA/SSA/SPA etc.) closure to monitoring of the investments in the start-ups
