Assistant Manager - Corporate Finance - Consulting Firm (7-10 yrs)

Role & Responsibilities:
As an Assistant Manager, you will be responsible for managing multiple clients such that all client needs are dealt with on a timely basis. Ensuring completion of each assignment to a high quality standard, within budget and on or before deadlines, while controlling the progress of other assignments.
Leadership / Management Skills
a. Ensures optimal utilization of staff time and balances workload among team members on fair basis.
b. Manages the preparation of the engagement plan and ensures appropriate resources are assigned.
c. Sets performance standards and objectives for the engagement.
d. With assistance of senior manager, summarizes the key areas of the engagement for the Partner.
e. Adherence to the Office code of conduct
Client Relationships
a. Obtains client feedback on engagement performance and takes appropriate action and ensures Clients are fully satisfied.
b. Together with Partner negotiates fees and demonstrates commercial responsibility for profitability of each client.
c. Facilitates and conducts steering committee and project management meetings
Technical Capabilities
a. Identifies problem areas and consults as appropriate on complex issues.
b. Involves specialists in the engagement, where appropriate.
c. Being abreast of the new developments in the relevant field through reading/ research / attending webinars
Business Acumen
a. Generates new Sales as per the KPIs
b. Generates cross sales by promoting firm's other service lines
c. Implements fee billing and collection schedules that minimize WIP and debtors.
d. Charge ability/Billing/Collections as per the KPIs
Human Resources
a. Delegates appropriately and challenges subordinates to excel.
b. Mentors and supports all levels of staff to be motivated and improve performance
c. Strives for retention of high performers in the team
d. Promotes teamwork atmosphere
e. Monitors and supports the high performers in the team
f. Completes evaluations on time and gives quality inputs to the team on performance
Educational Qualification:
- Bachelors or Masters Degree in Accounting / Management
- One of the relevant professional certifications
- Proficiency in spoken and written English and Arabic (desirable).
Experience :
- A minimum of 7 years of consulting experience from big Firm is required.
- Strong Experience in Valuations, Mergers & Acquisitions, and Financial Reporting
