Assistant Manager - Consulting - Corporate Real Estate Team (4-6 yrs)

Responsibilities

As an Assistant Manager within the CRE team, will work with CRE practice on advisory engagements involving acquisitions, asset management and accounting process improvement, enterprise data governance strategies, enterprise organization design, and outsourcing analysis etc. within the commercial real estate space (e.g., real estate private equity funds, REITs, hospitality organizations, pension funds and other owner/investor entities). The analysis and insights are delivered using a range of innovative and disruptive technologies that may include RPA and data analytics. You will work closely with the onsite project teams and Manager, with opportunities to travel and work from onsite and client locations as per project requirements.

Key responsibility areas:

- Work on a range of CRE projects involving detailed property and portfolio analysis, benchmarking with market trends, and suggesting portfolio optimizing and cost saving opportunities. This requires

- Supervise, develop and mentor professionals at the Staff level

- Analyze and make recommendations with respect to strategic dispositions, investment and market opportunities, asset review and market studies, highest and best use analysis, acquisition and advice analysis and valuations for sale/leaseback purposes.

- Optimize clients- internal and external real estate organizational structure with regards to insourcing vs. outsourcing facilities management/transaction management/space and occupancy planning/lease administration support, contract terms analyses and vendor selection.

- Support the creation of portfolio-related governance, processes and tools for client assignments.

- Demonstrate teamwork and responsibility with engagement team members

- Use technology and tools to enhance the quality of analysis and output

- Assist Senior Managers/Managers on proposals and new business opportunities

Job requirements

To qualify, a candidate must have:

- Post graduate degree in finance, economics, operations or business with 5 years of related work experience. Preference to candidates with relevant advanced degree or accreditation in real estate, such as MRICS, FRICS

- Minimum of 3 years of direct experience in real estate advisory, preferably covering commercial real estate segment in US real estate markets

- Experience in financial modeling, including experience building models in MS Excel and related software.

- Knowledge and experience of latest data analytics technologies such as RPA, visualization tools including Tableau / Spotfire / Power BI

- Experience in an external client service capacity

- Have experience working with or for a real estate or hospitality owner/investor

- Understanding of process optimization and operating model improvement methodologies

- Have accounting and/or finance experience

- People management experience and ability to lead group of 1-2 professionals

- Excellent analytical, communication, organizational, interpersonal, and teaming skills

- Willingness and ability to travel, when necessary
