Assistant Manager - Communication Surveillance - Investment Bank

We have the opening with one of the leading investment banks for Communication Surveillance role in Bangalore location.

Experience Required: 1 to 7 years

Designation : Assistant Manager(Analyst)

Role Purpose :

The role holder will perform surveillance of Markets and BSM FO staff's e-communications, in line and also detect any forms of inappropriate conduct, including market abuse, disrupting the orderly and transparent functioning of financial markets, not achieving fair outcomes for clients and users of non-professional language

Knowledge & Experience / Qualifications:

- Graduate with minimum of 3 years of experience in Surveillance and Risk management in the e-communications field

- Knowledge of Financial Markets, regulations, products, trading strategies, and terminologies

- Understanding of what constitutes misconduct in Financial Markets, including market abuse; ability to understand eCommunications and analyze these for detection of potentially inappropriate conduct

- Excellent proficiency in English, including slang, colloquialisms, and idioms

- Ability to make accurate judgment calls on the nature of alerts in a short time period (i.e. deciding quickly and reliably what requires escalation)

- Knowledge of Bloomberg Surveillance tools desirable

- Knowledge of other foreign languages desirable

- Ability to learn and grasp and new systems, tools, and databases quickly

- Strong interpersonal skills and experience of working effectively and independently in a small team and also collaborate with global colleagues

- Excellent communication skills (verbal & written)

- High attention to detail

- Proficient in MS Office (incl. Excel & PowerPoint)

- Ability to work under pressure and within tight timelines. Excellent time management and prioritization of work tasks. Manage urgent ad-hoc requests from London Control Office/business

- Ability to support decisions with sound reasoning. Ability to clearly articulate implications of analysis and findings

- Strong understanding of Operational Risk

- Previous experience in an offshore centre advantageous
