Assistant Manager - Business Development


Job Title: Assistant Manager : Business Development

Function: Business Development

Position based at: Mumbai/Pune

Reports To: Senior Manager - BD

Scope: The incumbent would work in Business development function at a regional level and would support the Company/Region in COCO, FOFO, rent negotiations with his/her expertise to expand the retail footprint of the organization.

Education: MBA / Retail Management from a reputed institute with relevant experience

Age & Experience:

Candidate must have:

- Minimum 7-9 years experience in a similar role. Specific to the region being recruited for. Preferably from retail brand.

- Ability of assessments/due diligence of rental properties-COCO, FOFO

- Experience in Rent renegotiation, right-sizing stores, relocation, mall management dealings

- Experience in project feasibility evaluations and benchmarking

Job Specific Comments:

Job Responsibilities:

- Annual Regional Brand Expansion Plan

- Achieve Budgeted target of new stores / door additions

- SSPD- Re-sizing, relocation

- Rent-To-Sale Ratio- Rent Negotiation / Renewals

Functional skills required:

- ROI management

- Feasibility reporting and pay back mechanism

- Coordinating with Projects, Legal and Commercial teams to deliver projects on time

- Sound knowledge of Legal due diligence

- Managerial Skills required:

- Proficiency in Data Analysis

- Peer Management-Brand, Channel, Associates

- Must possess Project Management skills, Time management skills, Negotiation Skills, Networking Skills

- Effective communication skills across all levels

- Open to travel and market visits is a must
