Reporting to (Business Title): Senior Manager - Marketing

Location: Mumbai

Overall purpose of job:

- AM - Marketing will be handling one or two of our Key B2C Brand. This is a full fledge brand management role, handling strategy as well as execution for the assigned brand under the guidance of Senior Manager Marketing/Marketing Head.

- This role has a mix of Strategy and Execution. Senior Manager Marketing/Marketing Head will provide guidance on the strategy; however, the execution is independent to the person.

- This role required though rough understanding of marketing function, advertising, research, media plans, etc as well as accounting of marketing expenses. Exposure to SAP is desirable. It involves and requires ability to deal with Agencies (Creative, Digital, Media), Vendors for Consumer Offers and Events as well as internal stakeholder management with Functions like Packaging, Sales, Supply Chain etc.

Tasks and Responsibilities:

The tasks and responsibilities can be summarized (but not limited to) as below:

- Fine tune Strategic Brand Vision & Brand Core for the assigned brand and Long Term Growth plan with Senior Manager/Marketing head

- Develop & Execute Yearly Marketing Plan to deliver on Business Objectives in alignment with Brand Vision & Brand Core

- Work closely with Business Head, Regional Business Managers and provide full support towards achievement of Business objectives / Vols

- Strengthen Brand Parameters by smart utilization of Marketing Mix striking balance between Business objectives and Brand Objectives

- Being Creative in developing Brand Communication both in various ATL (TV, Radio, OOH, DIGITAL), Consumer Promotions as well as BTL (POS, Events etc). Drive ROI on marketing investments by constantly measuring and evaluating spends

- Closely working with Ecommerce team to plan and execute performance campaign on the portfolio on Digital medium

- Track channel wise financial metrics and plan interventions to generate top and bottom line metrices

- Plan and execute BTL led marketing initiatives -for trade and consumer activations in key geographies

- Drive Innovation Pipeline Development for the Brand

- Day to day Coordination with Vendor as well as internal team (Packaging, procurement, plants, Supply Chain) for any changes with respect to Packaging and / or Aws as well as Estimates, PO, Bills and payments for marketing function

- Travel in key markets, develop strong relationships with the sales function, gather understanding of the market requirement and come back with suggestion for the marketing function to provide specific inputs to grow the brands

- Special requirements, external and internal contacts, travel, working conditions, etc.

- Flair of knowledge and experience in other functions like Sales and Distribution is must. Knowledge of Packaging (FMCG) is required. The position would involve close working with various internal stake holders of other functions at various hierarchy level. Travelling would be limited however, would be required.

- Exposure to all areas of FMCG marketing (Advertising, Media etc) is must. Expertise in one of the areasis added advantage.

- Sound understanding of accounting of marketing expenses and vendor management is must.

Education, qualifications, special training, experience and skills:

1. MBA in Marketing regular learning (full time from accredited university or reputed private uni). Distance learning, part time courses not preferred.

2. Work Experience: Minimum 5 years plus in FMCG Marketing (preferably Food Industry). Advertising Agency background will be only considered if more than 2 years of the latest work exp is on client side.

3. Exposure to Sales and Distribution, Manufacturing, Packaging etc would be added advantage.

4. Command over software packages including Windows, and Microsoft Office in particular in MS Excel. Good presentation skill is added preference. Working knowledge of SAP is advantage.
