Job Title : Assistant Manager Accounts and Finance

Purpose of the job :

- Overseeing day to day accounting and month close and reporting in SAP and COGNOS in line with Umicore

- Supervise the accounts payable, fixed assets accounting and reporting.

- Lead the controlling activities relating non-metal accounting.

- Manage cost accounting activities.

- Overview of day to day accounting and lead the month close and reporting activities.

- Preparation of Local GAAP books, financial statements and completion of statutory audit.

- Accounting controls including internal controls, SOD, MICR, GL account reconciliations and internal audit

Main responsibilities :

A. Financial Accounting

- Overseeing day-to-day accounting activities to ensure accuracy in sub ledger and general ledger postings.

- Overseeing accounts payable function, including the supervision of month

- close and reporting activities related to Accounts Payable.

- Review and approval of weekly payment runs for local and foreign vendors and statutory payments.

B. Month Close and Reporting

- Review of intercompany transactions and perform monthly balance

- Reconciliations.

- Management of month close checklist.

- Cost module, analysis of product wise and customer wise margins,

- Lead preparation of monthly MIS and performance reports.

C. Inventory controlling and cost accounting

D. Local Statutory Books, Financial Statements and Statutory Audit

- Preparation of Local GAAP books in line with local statutory requirement.

- Prepare financial statements under Indian GAAP while ensuring

- Management of the statutory audit process to ensure timely completion of audit report.

- Treatment under UFRS and Indian GAAP.

- Preparation of data and co-ordination for completion of Cost Audit.

- Monthly review of GL account reconciliations to ensure the correctness of

- Manage the Capex Accounting process in SAP through Fixed Assets

Education: Chartered Accountant/CA

Proficiency in English

Experience: 1-4 years of post-qualification experience in a multi-cultural multinational organisation.
