Assistant General Manager - Revenue Management

Role Overview:

The AGM - Revenue Management will be responsible for optimizing the company's revenue streams, ensuring maximization of profitability while maintaining a competitive edge in the market. This is a key leadership role that demands a data-driven mindset, strategic thinking, and the ability to collaborate cross-functionally to drive results.

Key Responsibilities:

Revenue Strategy Development:

- Formulate and execute revenue strategies to achieve revenue targets across all properties.

- Implement pricing strategies based on market demand, seasonality, competition, and inventory levels.

- Identify and capitalize on revenue growth opportunities, optimizing ADR (Average Daily Rate), occupancy, and RevPAR (Revenue per Available Room).

Forecasting & Budgeting:

- Lead the creation of accurate revenue forecasts and budgets.

- Monitor performance against forecasts and make data-driven adjustments to strategies.

- Develop weekly, monthly, and quarterly performance reports to communicate results to senior management.

Market Analysis & Competitive Benchmarking:

- Perform regular market research and benchmarking to keep ahead of competitors.

- Stay updated with market trends, demand patterns, and changes in customer behavior.

- Utilize industry tools and platforms (e.g., STR, OTA Insights) to evaluate performance and suggest improvements.

Collaboration with Operations & Marketing:

- Work closely with the operations and marketing teams to align on revenue goals, ensuring seamless communication and execution of strategies.

- Collaborate with digital marketing to optimize campaigns that drive direct bookings.

Revenue Technology Management:

- Manage and optimize the revenue management systems (RMS), booking engine, and channel management tools.

- Ensure the proper distribution of inventory across all OTAs (Online Travel Agencies) and direct channels.

- Leverage advanced data analytics tools to enhance forecasting accuracy and decision-making processes.

Team Leadership & Development:

- Lead, mentor, and develop the revenue management team, fostering a high-performance culture.

- Promote knowledge sharing within the team and across the organization.

Qualifications:

Experience:

- Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in revenue management, preferably in the hospitality or travel industry.

- Proven track record of managing and optimizing revenue strategies across multiple locations.

- Strong experience in using revenue management systems and OTA platforms (e.g., STR, OTA Insights, RMS).

Skills & Competencies:

- Strong analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to make data-driven decisions.

- Exceptional communication and presentation skills.

- Proficiency in Excel, data analytics, and business intelligence tools.

- Excellent leadership, team management, and collaboration skills.

- Ability to think strategically and drive results in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
