Assistant General Manager/General Manager - Compensation & Benefits - Consumer Business (6-10 yrs)

Role purpose :

Custodian of a) International C&B Policies and their consistent implementation b) Global Policies governed by Group Rewards c) Board-level compliances

- Partner to ensure that all Total Rewards initiatives are built up from a Consumer Commercial functions perspective on the principles of equity, fairness and market competitiveness, so as to enable talent attractiveness & retention, whilst being aligned to employee expectations.

- Custodian of Reward Guidelines for Resourcing and influence right hiring, including fair pay.

- Ensuring Total Rewards initiatives are built up from a Discover Program perspective on the principles of fast track careers, retention of high potential and market competitiveness.

Key accountabilities and decision ownership :

- Ensuring competitiveness with market on all reward areas from a Consumer Business and Discover perspective through external market benchmarking which needs being abreast of consumer business, new areas and determine data requirements from external market, networking with other organizations, especially competition for determining new trends in the market and bringing in an outside in perspective & determining Market Reference Rates for attraction and retention of top quality talent.

- Engage with stakeholders in managing promotions and reward decisions for Consumer Business & Discover Talent pool.

- Champion the Global Policies (owned by Group Rewards) implementation, communication and uptake in

- Partner the Rewards Head in Board matters and related compliances

- International C&B and Assignee management

- Deliver on other Special/Confidential Projects

Core competencies, knowledge and experience :

- Incumbent should have deep CoE expertise in Rewards (preferably from a FMCG/Consumer Business perspective will be an added advantage)

- Proven ability to conceptualize, communicate and nationally deploy Total Reward interventions that enable quantitative and qualitative results within the complexities of a matrix organization

- Ability to collaborate with a range of external (Telecom forum, Consultants, Statutory Compliance experts) and internal stakeholders (Group, Execo, HRBPs, Circle HR Heads & Team members, other CoEs, Legal & Tax teams ) so as to influence effective execution of initiatives with discipline.

- Have a good understanding of Business operations and linkage to Performance and Total Rewards.

- Be competent in HR policies and processes, and how Total Rewards processes interlink with them.

Must have technical / professional qualifications:

- Qualification : MBA - HR with 5+ to 9 years of experience

- Master's Degree in Human Resources

- Advanced understanding of Total Reward concepts preferably through experience/certification

- Working knowledge of SAP, Spreadsheets and other IT Tools that support consistent national deployment of Total Rewards processes.

Key performance indicators :

- Impact employee retention through levers in the person's domain i.e. utilization and penetration of incentive plan aligned to business performance

- Frequency of active communication and governance to ensure vitality of connect with International (Outbound & Inbound) talent

- Closure of all Discover & Consumer Business Reward and Promotion campaigns within timelines as per defined calendar

- Ensure effectiveness and RoIe of our rewards proposition in respective talent quality, group compliance, tax, legal and wage budget effectiveness in consultation with relevant stakeholders
