International Accounting in an outsourced environment
Designation: Assistant General Manager
Location: Bangalore, India. Should be willing to travel domestic and international
Qualification: Chartered Accountant with 10 years of relevant experience
Shift timings: 6.00 PM to 3.00 AM (to cover primarily US shift and partly UK)
Role Dimensions:
The role is an integral part of the organization's overall strategy towards building Center of Excellence and creating Shared Services for all HGS Group entities. Further, this team will set up / help to set up service centers for external clients. The role reports to Head of F&A.
The specific responsibilities in this role would be the following:
- Handle AR, AP, GL, FA, Forex, Inter Co reconciliations, Treasury
- Follow month close procedures and finalise Trial Balance
- Ensure delivery of P&L and Balance Sheets with schedules
- Ensure delivery of monthly MIS as desired by the clients along with variance analysis
- Available at all times during the working hours to take calls and resolve customer queries
- Set up Internal Controls and ensure Financial Reporting is accurate (ICFR) - something similar to SOX. Ensure and evidence all supporting documents on ICFR.
- Publish governance dashboards
- Develop business score cards and SLA dashboards
- Ensure smooth audits be it internal, statutory or specific audits
- Focus on bringing automation to enhance working experience of teams at high level of accuracy and
seamless customer experience
- Handle a team of experienced accountants in multiple tenure
Desired Knowledge, skills and attitudes:
The ideal candidate should have
- Excellent Accounting knowledge preferably with exposure to IFRS / IndAS
- Good Excel and PPT skills
- Experience in ERP. Exposure to SAP is desired.
- Should have managed teams
- Must have ability to build blue print with regards to delivery strategy across multiple legal entities
- Experience in managing a global development team and global clientele / stakeholders.
- Hands-on experience in managing client expectations and mature stakeholder management
- Excellent team skills and ability to collaborate in a matrix organizational structure
- Ability to work with cross cultural and multi geography teams
- Highly Tech savvy
