Assistant Financial Controller - Retail Domain - Big4

Key Job Responsibilities :

Processes and Controls :

- Design and institute (manual and automated) processes with robust internal controls for high-velocity routine transactions like procure-to-pay, employee reimbursements, agency commission, inventory-to-consumption, inventory-to-capex, portfolio risk provisioning;

- Create Dashboards for monitoring quality of processes (e.g. TATs) and controls (e.g. exceptions, escalations)

MIS :

- Standardise templates and processes for rapid information capturing;

- Continually optimise and refine timetable to ultimately produce monthly MIS at the click of a button at 6pm on last day of the month.

Financial Statements and Audits :

- Standardise info capture templates and processes for preparing annual financial statements, tax computations and tax audit schedules;

- Present audit file to auditors by 30 April, complete AGM by 31 May, complete tax audit by 30 June and file tax return by 31 July

Tax Matters :

- Clear calendar for tax compliances;

- Standardise templates and processes for preparation of tax returns;

- Coordinate with advisors to proactively resolve technical matters

Experience and Qualifications :

- Experience of BPR and Audits in a consulting role with Big 4

- Experience of Finance Operations in an executive role in small format retail chains (e.g. coffee chains) with decentralised operations and centralised finance ops.
