Assistant Finance Manager- Compliance and Tax- Leading Digital Agency

Position: Assistant Manager

Location: Mumbai

Digital Company is looking for an energetic candidate in a fast growing organization

Purpose: To ensure Digital Company's compliant with all applicable laws from a legal/statutory and taxation stand point, all contractual requirements, as well as internal processes.

Key Expectations from the role:

- Ensure completion of all tax compliance within the due date, including but not limited to returns filing.

- Ensure completion of Assessments within 6 months of commencement.

- Ensure submission of Internal Audit reports in board meetings every quarter.

- Ensure completion of statutory audit within 90 days from the end of the financial year.

- Train team members on all key updates on taxes.

- Ensure adherence to contractual obligations and being the single point of contact for all contractual discussions.

Knowledge, Skills & Attitude:

Knowledge

- Expert level knowledge of provisions of Income tax including but not limited to TDS, Equalisation Levy, Advance tax, computation of tax, TDS filings.

- Expert level knowledge of various provisions of GST including but not limited to monthly calculations, returns and research on new developments/pronouncements.

- Understanding of provisions of the Companies Act.

- Understanding of provisions of employee related taxes (PF PT etc).

- Understanding of Internal Financial Controls.

- Knowledge of auditing and accounting standards.

- Understanding of business risk clauses in a contract.

Skills - Good communication skills and should be able to present information in a clear and concise manner to senior officers of the organisation.

- Analytical & data handling skills.

- Ability to prepare a deliverable/ report i.e. report writing.

- An expert with spreadsheets, Microsoft Excel in particular.

Attitude 


- Ability to work with teams in diverse functional areas. 


- Organizational skills and high process orientation.

- Self driven: ability to keep oneself updated of all recent developments in the regulatory world.

- Ability to multitask.

- Time management & prioritization

Experience & Education:

Experience

Essential:

- 4 -6 years post qualification experience.

- Handled Tax as a key result area including monthly compliance, returns and handling of assessments.

- Designing / implementing business process (as a team member or team leader).

- Exposure to working with consultants (Tax, CS etc).
