Assistant Director - Sourcing - FMCG (6-9 yrs)
Key Responsibilities :
- Develop and enhance sourcing strategies for all of more than 1500 SKUs ranging from groceries to disposables to fixed assets ensuring quality and lowest costs across geographies
- Developing vendors across India to fuel Business' rapid expansion plans
- Drive COGS Saving initiatives
- Handling Vendor Escalations from Fulfilment team
- Develop In-depth understanding of each category and create annual buying plans/strategies
- Vendor Engagement, Defining Share of Business and Vendor Categorization, Vendor felicitation
- Driving sourcing for New SKUs
- Handling even purchases for low frequency, large strategic categories like Ripple Cups, Tea leaves
- Protecting Business from Single Vendor scenarios
- Executing multi vendor strategy, protecting business from price and quality shocks
- Executing contracts based on price, quality and fulfilment parameters
- Projects Capex control, projects Vendor Onboarding as per defined criteria, Projects Billing and Capex closure
- Fixed Assets Sourcing - including Total cost of ownership
- Developing local level sourcing - Reducing inter-city logistics
- Industry Cost Benchmarking
Functional Skills :
- In-depth knowledge of nuances of sourcing diverse categories including agricultural produce, packaging and fixed assets
- Great negotiation skill
- Should be methodical in approaching problems
- Problem Solver
- Good understanding of nuances of legal agreements
- Experienced in contract manufacturing
- Good with numbers
