Assistant Controller / General Ledger Manager
CTC : 15 Lpa - 20 Lpa
Roles & Responsibilities :
As the link between financial operations and strategy, a General Ledger Manager's responsibilities include but are not limited to :
- Leading the accounting operations in the business
- Drive monthly accounting process including full Financial statement preparation and reconciliation
- General Ledger responsibility including timely reporting, analysis & driving operational actions for Accounts Receivable & Accounts Payables reporting
- Implementing financial policies, processes and systems that support Business operations. Drive maintenance and documentation of accounting procedures, processes & policies while ensuring adherence to statutory and accounting principles
- Ensuring understanding of and compliance to statutory law, finance, and tax regulations and oversight to legal, company secretarial laws, rules & regulations
- Lead Audit process planning and preparation within the team and interfacing with Auditors
- Manage and monitor organizational cash flow and continuously assess the financial efficacy of operations.
- Maintain internal control and safeguards for receipt of revenue, costs, budgets and actual expenditures to bring financial discipline.
Desired Candidate Profile :
Mandatory :
- Qualified Chartered Accountant
- 7+ years of accounting and controlling experience in large companies/venture
- Strong leadership and organizational ability to motivate teams, work cross functionally and manage strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures and practical experience of leading statutory Audits for companies with significant responsibilities
- High level of analytical, numerical ability coupled with sound reasoning and logical deduction skills
- Advanced computer software skills, including Excel and other accounting package
Preferred :
- Ability to work on multiple initiatives with tight deadlines and ability to work in cross functional teams
- Participated as a senior team member or led ERP implementation & transitions
