Role Description:

Job Purpose:

Demand Planning (Forecast generation and analytics)- To work as a central analyst and forecast demand using cutting edge technology.

Primary Responsibilities:

Business Responsibility Areas

Key Performance Indicators

- Demand Plan generation from the available statistical forecast SKU mix

- Project sales forecast split tie up

- Validation of mid-month corrections

- Tie up of medium to long term plans

- Tie up of N+1 plans

- Tie up of Trimester plans

- Analyze demand and supply status for actionable insights

- Gather market intelligence on contribution changes and translate the analysis into actionable inputs in the Demand Plan

- Drive functional projects

- Leverage analytics for adding value

- Forecast Value Addition through analysis and market intelligence

- Improvement in forecast of New Products

- Market Visits and adoption of S&Op

Scope of Work:

a) Financial Scope (Range of financial spend):

Equivalent to a Manager- s position in APL DBU

b) People Management Scope (Range of no. of Direct/ Indirect Reports):0

Role Requirements / Specifications:

Qualifications:

Essential:

- Graduation/Post Graduation in Statistics/Data science/Business Analytics

- Graduation + MBA from premier institutes with relevant hands-on experience in demand planning forecasting

Desired:

- From premier institutes like IITs/IISc/ISI with specialisation in statistics or data science or business analytics

Previous Experience:

Essential - (1-2 yrs ) with 1-2 years of demand planning experience using high-end forecasting tools

Desired - Exposure to SAS Platform
