Role Description:

Job Purpose :


- Driving a culture of Business Excellence across various Business Units and aligning the overall process flow with an end-to-end perspective, thereby enhancing the effectiveness & agility in overall business outcomes

- Ensure efficient & effective implementation of Quality agenda across AP Wizards, AP Creators, AP Infinity, AP Global, AP CP2, AP Living in accordance with AP Charter, APL Quality & Consumer policies

Primary Responsibilities:

Key Performance Indicators:

Digital Quality:

- Identify & develop digital twins in Quality

- Manage & Execute IT Projects with agility

- IT vendor Management in support from APL IT team

Quality Agenda in AP Infinity, AP Wizards & AP Creators:

- Cost of Poor Quality - Dead, Defective & Damage

- Quality systems in Warehousing

- New Products - Causing RFT to the market

- Customer Agenda - Near Zero Agreed Customer Complaints

- Quality Agenda in Manufacturing - Internal Quality Defects

- Quality Agenda in Materials & JVC


- Integrated Management System Audits for AP Creators, AP Wizards, AP Infinity, AP Core

AP CP2 & AP Living:

- Quality Objectives including Customer Complaints, LEAN, PSP, Internal Quality Defects

AP Global:

- Establish Quality Systems and Build assurance models

- Support in identifying pathways around near Zero Customer Complaints

- Plant Hygiene agenda

Improvements upon intervention in:

- Dead Defective Damage

- Near Zero agreed Product (including Packaging) complaints


- RFT for NPI

- Dealer Satisfaction Survey

- Net Promoter Score

- HD CAPA implementation compliance

- Quality Risk Identification & Mitigation across APL businesses

Scope of Work:

a) Financial Scope

- 1.5 Crores of Revenue Budget, 50L of Capex

b) People Management Scope

- 1 - 2 Senior executive / executive - Direct/Indirect

c) Geography Coverage

- India Operations & Global Operations

d) Corporate Coverage

- DBU, AP Global, AP CP2, AP Living

Key Interactions


- All internal functions under Sales Commercial, Marketing, Supply Chain, AP Global, AP CP2 & AP Living


- Industry Professionals, IT vendors

Role Requirements / Specifications



- B.E. / B.Tech - Strictly a full time course

- Any PG Degree


- MBA (Operations/Supply Chain) from Tier -1/2 institution

- Certified Black Belt - Six Sigma

- Certified ISO 9K auditor

Previous Experience


- None in case of MBA from Tier 1 institution - or -

- 3-4 Years in case of Tier 2 institution - or -

- 3-4 Years in Managerial cadre (Asian Paints)

Functional Competencies

- Business Excellence understanding

- Project Management

- Exposure to Quality Systems & Processes

- Usage of Quality Tools, PSP, FMEA,

- Usage of Platforms like Power BI, Minitab

- Understanding of Paint & Processes from Design Input to Material Delivery
