Job Title Executive - RM Purchase Department - Purchase Reporting to Senior Manager - RM Purchase Grade - EE Jobs Reporting Into Officer - RM Purchase Location/Unit - Vakola, Mumbai Role Description: Job Purpose: - Responsible for procurement of Oils and linked RMs. Develop and implement a strategy to ensure the category is operating in line with the objectives of the business, mitigate supply risks and deliver cost savings. Primary Responsibilities: Business Responsibility Areas: Key Performance Indicators: - To procure material at most competitive prices and help keep APL cost Competitive in the market. - Interacting with Consultants, Vendors, industry experts to derive insights into the market dynamics for the category and make buying decision basis the same. - Mapping the demand to ensure seamless availability of material at all manufacturing locations, to ensure no loss of production. - Responsible for managing relationships and negotiating with suppliers on a regular basis and ensuring seamless execution of the entire procure to pay cycle for the vendors. - To hold suppliers accountable to right quality of materials in accordance with specified Quality standards - Prepare accurate quarterly and annual purchasing budget for the category and ensuring that we stay within the budget - To keep scanning the market for driving cost saving initiative in the category - Coordinate with internal stakeholders (Planning / IT / Accounts) to drive improvement projects withing the function / category - Create and implement best practice purchasing strategy to aid cost effective buying - Purchase Efficiency - RM Service Levels - RM Inventory Days - Vendor Payment Performance - RM Delivery Performance - Quarterly and Annual RM Budget accuracy Scope of Work: a) Financial Scope (Range of financial spend): - Annual budgeted value of category is around 450 Cr b) People Management Scope (Range of no. of Direct/ Indirect Reports): - Officer - RM Purchase (1 nos.) directly report to this position c) Geography Coverage (Country-wide/ State-wide / Area-wide) - Country-wide d) Corporate Coverage (Company-wide / Business Unit or Function-wide / Sub-function-wide / Other): - Supply Chain (Decorative Business Unit) Key Interactions: Internal: Managers, Senior Managers and Chief Managers from the following groups: - RM Purchase - Accounts (Shared Service Centre) - Information Technology - Manufacturing (Plant Administration) External: - Consultants - Vendors Role Requirements / Specifications: Qualifications: Essential: - Post Graduate diploma / degree in Operations Management from a reputed institution OR Graduate in Engineering/Commerce from a reputed institution with industry experience in the Purchase Previous Experience: Desired - Experience in handling purchase of Commodity RMs is preferred
