Location/Unit - Mysuru Plant Role Description Job Purpose - Responsible for handling the complete electrical infrastructure of the plant premises which comprises of the HT / LT equipment- s, Panels, Circuit breakers, Transformers, HT& LT Diesel Generators, UPS, Motors, Batteries, complete electrical distribution system. - Responsible for managing the inhouse & external Renewable energy setup and to manage the overall units generated through the same in coordination with the relevant stakeholders. - Will be responsible for a preparation of preventive maintenance, predictive maintenance schedules for the elec system and to execute it , which complies to the Asset Care strategy of Asian paints. Ensuring that the Plant Machinery are maintained at best efficiency & performance. Will be part of the Asset Care & other practices of TRACC (Manufacturing excellence program). - The Position is also responsible to implement capex in the plant as part of upgradation and productivity improvements along with adherence to all the requirement as mentioned in the Asian Paints Manual. - The Position is also responsible to drive & implement the energy saving initiatives in the plant and to manage the Specific Power Consumption of the entire plant, in coordination with the relevant stake holders - The candidate will be responsible of procurement and technical evaluations as well. Primary Responsibilities Business Responsibility Areas Key Performance Indicators 1) Preventive maintenance, Proactive maintenance, Breakdown Maintenance, to reduce breakdown and to increase availability & performance of equipment - Upkeep of equipment like Transformers, HT , LT panels, DG , Circuit breakers , Motor , UPS , batteries , solar panels & it- s associated equipment- s and the Material handling equipment- s - Review of the preventive maintenance schedule - Identify the root cause of failure - Implementation of suitable corrective action and preventive action - Review of the engineering personnel wrt day to day activity. - Coordinating with the cross functional team to achieve day- s target. - Regular interaction with the team member to check compliance. - Reviewing the Renewable energy setup and the energy consumption, day to day basis - Coordinating with the internal holders for the preparation and the submission of the renewable energy Banking and the Wheeling units to the Govt authorities on time - Responsible for the managing & achieve the Specific power consumption - Responsible for managing the Power & Fuel budget of the entire plant 2) Being a part of TRACC(Manufacturing Excellence) - Implementation of Asset care strategy in blocks. - Will be part of single or multiple practices of TRACC. - Addressal of problems arriving in AC DOR or block MDT. - Trainings to be imparted to the team members. 3) Adherence to IMS & BSC safety system - Training to the engineering personnel - Implementation of the manual at shop floor - Check on the process to ensure no deviations. - Self- assessment of the process to be done to ensure compliance. - Updating of manual with best practice. - Interaction with plant to understand and to ensure common practice is followed. - Regular check to ensure compliance 4) Management of Stores and Spares and overhead budgeting. - Managing stores inventory - Interacting with vendor for the spares, negotiation, and other technical discussion. - Regular check of the system to ensure hygiene of the system, such as open purchase order, Open reservations, Pending gate pass. - Vendor evaluation and vendor selection - Release of Annual maintenance contract to maintain the equipment, review of AMC vendor. - Vendor assessment at the year end. - Review and approve minimum spares inventory of critical consumables. 5) Contractor management - Selection of the vendor - Vendor assessment for service provided - Cost control and manpower control in terms of number of persons coming in the plant. - Ensuring the statutory compliance by the contractor. 6) Capex implementation - Proposing the capex budget along with the user dept after making a plan - Making budgetary proposal - Planning and execution of the capex - Review the progress of the capex projects - Cost control - Reporting the compliance as per plan 7) Cost monitoring - Review of the spend against budget - Reporting the compliance and in case of any overshoot, Mitigation to be planned. 8) Networking /Liasoning and statutory compliance - Review of the schedule - Planning and execution of the statutory requirement - Maintaining the certificates as required by the statutory authority - Reporting deviations if any and plan for mitigation of the risk. 9) Calibration of Equipment and measuring equipment. - Planning and make a schedule - Review the execution of the plan - Reporting in case of any deviation and making the system right - Ensuring statutory compliance is met.
