Assistant Group Manager - Technology (Data Analytics)

Job Purpose :

Creating project proposals to convert available data into a useful model that enable growth through optimization of product design, processes and control mechanisms. The role also looks into the aspects of simulation in polymer synthesis and formulation science focused to enhance turnaround time in product development and raw material evaluation. Person in this role is will also be executing the data analytics projects in R&T and contribute to the success of the team through idea generation, analyzing large data, creating models and validating the outcome by undertaking studies in paints and coatings.

Roles and Responsibilities :

- Executing data analytic projects in formulation science and raw material management

- Conceiving and executing projects in simulation and modelling of polymer synthesis

- Working in a cross functional team and ensure on time achievement of product deliverables

- Guiding team in handling large data and monitoring the progress

- Analyzing the market trends and creating new project proposals

- Creating scientific reports and project reports

- Working in a cross-functional team and effectively leading the group to achieve the goals

- Delivering expected outcomes in data analytic projects

- New opportunities created towards excellence

- Contribution to optimization of product design, processes and value generation

- Number of end users enrolled and learning opportunities created

- Number of scientific write ups/presentations

Desired Candidate Profile :

- Working experience in simulation/modelling or data analytics projects in FMCG, Pharma or Polymer industry.

- Experience of working on Paint development and testing is desirable; Hands on experience in simulation and modelling tools, data analytic tools and other analytic/artificial intelligence tools.
