This includes the Centre for Social Impact and Philanthropy (CSIP), which aims at being the foremost Centre in India for research and capacity-building towards the critical advancement of social impact. The Centre's research will be focused on critical topics in the space of social impact, in strategic philanthropy in particular, with emphasis on applied research.  Person Description :  - Centre of Social Impact and Philanthropy is looking for a motivated research manager. The candidate should have the flexibility to work on multiple projects, display a natural aptitude for primary and secondary research, have a deadline-driven approach and be a team player. The candidate should be able to work in a fast moving and dynamic environment.  - The research manager should at least have a master's degree in statistics, economics with specialisation in statistical methods or social sciences with training in qualitative and quantitative research methods. Advanced degree holders in social sciences with training in ethnographic research methods and anthropology are also welcome to apply.  - The candidate should have 3-5 years of experience working with large datasets in research institutions, market research firms, think tanks, investment and venture capital funds, big data firms and stock market analytics companies. The candidate should have excellent research report writing skills. Experience of organising events, workshops and seminars is desirable. The candidate should have strong verbal communication skills and display a high level of creativity.  Essential Software Skills :  - Statistical Package for Social Science (SPSS) and/or open source versions   - Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)   - EndNote or other citation software   Desirable Software Skills :  - Atlas.ti/NVivo   - Nudist (Non-Numerical Unstructured, Data Indexing, Searching and Theorising)   The Research Manager will work with the Research Director for the following :   - Identify relevant data and datasets for issues and projects   - Collate and analyse primary and secondary data independently using relevant software   - Work extensively with independent contractors, consultants and specialised research agencies   - Writing reports, long form articles and putting together - Thought Leadership- quarterlies   - Organising events, workshops and conferences   - Creating, maintaining and populating a database of relevant stakeholders and institutions   - Organising periodic outreach activities   - Implement & execute the creation of knowledge, data and research repositories   - Identify and engage relevant stakeholders for executing teaching programmes and workshops   - Business development and institutional partnerships   - Leveraging existing expertise and resources of Ashoka University   - Develop a vibrant calendar of events to convene various stakeholders for CSIP
