POSITION DETAILS:

Position: Title Vice President- Engineering

Location: Mumbai , Andheri (Corporate Office)

Product : MSME Lending (Secured & Unsecured)

Industry: Banking/NBFC/FinTech

Role and Responsibilities:

- Leads the engineering team in the delivery of platform functionality through a mix of development software and helps the team in achieving and surpassing departmental goals.

- Seeks excellence in all engineering disciplines inclusive of data processing, quality assurance, application development, analytics, machine learning, algorithms, and data warehousing.

- Manages the day-to-day activities of the engineering teams as well as the management and execution of site/software development projects against delivery commitments and project plans. In charge of the management of the department's staffing, resources, and mentoring, and maintaining a best-in-class engineering department.

- Leading engineering role within the department where he is tasked with the planning, management, execution and implementation of site/software projects, inclusive of the day-to-day project management, scope management, issue and risk management, as well as regular status reporting.

- Provides technical guidance and direction, as well as hands-on resource and project management, for all site/software development activities.

- Understand software delivery in a start-up environment balanced with the rigor needed for sustainable, scalable and maintainable products to enable business

- Use data and feedback from participants and peers to drive continuous optimization of cross functional team structures and software development processes

- Cultivate a culture of testing and automation throughout the organization

- Collaborate with partner company teams to integrate with their systems and provide a seamless flow of information and journeys for customers from sourcing till disbursal.

- Full stack software development experience and capability also experience or comfort working with native mobile apps

- Experience with modern data technologies (Snowflake or equivalent), relational database systems (MySQL) and ability to work with large databases

Qualifications and Experience:

- Masters in Computer Science or a related technical field with 7 years' experience.

- A candidate for this position must also have had at least 4 years of working experience in a senior frontend or backend development position, preferably working as Senior Frontend Developer or a Lead Backend Developer.

- He will have had sufficient experience in software engineering, site/software development and experience.

- He will also have a demonstrated experience in the management of a frontend or backend team through cross-functional projects and recording project progress.

- Experience in building customer facing products and services as well as the deployment of APIs.

- A suitable candidate will further have had vast experience in agile development practices and architectural knowledge of web-based and backend technologies.

- A successful track record working as an engineering leader across multiple teams, especially in fintech ecosystem

- Leading and contributing to software architecture and cloud architecture

- Experience with systems that leverage near real-time data to drive personalized experiences (recommendations, CRM, etc.)

- Working with consumer facing digital products

- Experience with systems which have sophisticated access control/configuration capabilities

- Exceptional critical thinking and analytical skills, with the ability to quickly understand complex systems and data

- Balancing managing direct reports and making contributions to the software

- Providing project visibility to senior management

- Passion for data driven decision making and continuous process improvement

Skills Required:

Communication Skills: Written and verbal form are imperative for this role.

Technology/Software:

- He must be technologically adept and demonstrate outstanding computer skills. He will possess an innate understanding of data modeling and SQL for scalability and performance as well as a strong JavaScript, core Java, Java Spring boot, XHTML, CSS, and MVC framework.

- He must also demonstrate an expertise in full stack architecture technologies and be highly familiar with Java script, Ruby, Rails, RDBMs, and HTML5 as well as knowledge of a variety of programming languages such as Java, Objective C, C, and C++
