GP - Partner / Principal - Investment Banking/Venture Capital

A new fund in the tech space is looking to engage senior-level investment professionals and advisors in its deal-making. Only professionals with relevant track records and networks are encouraged to apply. The fund will be targeting tech companies requiring investments in seed or pre-series stages. They have entrusted us to hire for GP/Principal roles in their investment team.

Below are the details :

Experience : 5 - 15 Years in Investment Banking/Private Equity Funds/Venture Capital preferably having experience working in an early-stage Venture Capital firm

Locations : Mumbai/Delhi/Bangalore

Education : Post-graduate degree in Finance/Commerce/Statistics from a top Indian school or equivalent

Job Description :

- FUNDRAISING experience is NOT needed. The fund is ready to invest.

- The incoming person may be offered an equity stake at the GP level.

- Independently leading and managing the entire deal cycle, from origination to closure.

- Originating and cultivating relationships at the promoter / CXO levels.

- Develop relationships with cross-border investment banks, company auditors, and other intermediaries for sourcing the transactions.

- Perform a do-ability study of the transactions sourced and put it across the company directors with views and analysis on fees, do-ability, and internal resources required to work on the transaction.

- Work with the senior management for taking lead in industry analysis, industry mapping, pitch books, and client interference.

- Collaborating directly with the management of companies to craft presentations, determine the optimal way to present business to investors, and build operational and valuation models to support negotiations.

- Be a part of the data mining activity to prepare the marketing documents.

- Supervise a team of associates and analysts for preparing information memorandum, financial model, research work, and pitch books.
