About ARMMAN :

ARMMAN is an NGO working for Reproductive, Maternal, Newborn, Child and Adolescent Health (RMNCH+A). Our mission is to identify and address systemic gaps in both health service delivery and community health care seeking practices, adopting a - community needs assessment- method, to reduce maternal, neonatal and child mortality and morbidity in underprivileged urban and rural communities in India. We adopt an evidence-based approach to develop cost-effective scalable programs, with objective outcomes and measurable impact, leveraging technology where necessary and working with the public health system where possible.

In a short span of 4 years, we have reached across to more than 1.7 million women and their children in 9 states and currently employ 101 full-time staff. ARMMAN has won multiple accolades for its programs including the WHO Public Health Champion award in 2017 in the innovation category. mMitra, ARMMAN's at-scale program, was the first Indian NGO to ever receive the GSK-Save the Children Health Innovation Award. It was one of four international awardees in 2017 out of more than 170 applicants from 40 countries.

ARMMAN is currently looking to recruit a dynamic and motivated professional as Project Head for one of its mHealth initiative in the mother and child health Space. This program will be implemented in collaboration with Ministry of Health and Family Welfare. The program is currently running in 13 states with the ambition to go nationwide. Reporting to the COO, the Project Head will be expected to lead, strategize and manage the Program vertical.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :

1. Project Management

- Responsible for end to end implementation of the programs under the vertical

- Developing the overall strategy for Program implementation and enhancement.

- Facilitating the interactions between IT and Program teams working on the project.

- Understanding the requirements of the stakeholders and translating it into actions for the program and IT team.

- Monitor the programs on a regular basis and provide inputs wherever needed for better service delivery.

2. Operations Management

- Setting and reviewing budgets and managing costs

- Responsible for recruitment and training of the program teams

- Coordinating with the communications team for creating IEC material, flyers, advertorial content and collaterals

- Coordinating with Research team for M&E of the programs

3. Team Management

- Lead, motivate and support the program team and IT team in creating work plans, meeting deadlines and conducting regular reviews/ check-ins for the vertical

- Guiding the state teams for catalyzing the FLWs for improved program implementation

4. Stakeholder Management

- Collaborate and Coordinate with partners on a regular basis in order to maintain a good working relationship between ARMMAN and them.

- Regular Reporting to the stakeholders and ARMMAN Senior management Team.

- Managing relationship with the relevant departments in GOI and State Govt.

- Supporting the ARMMAN Fund Raising team for Donor engagement and reporting

- Internal stakeholders to regularly interact with - ARMMAN Senior Management Team, Research Lead, Technology Lead, Program Lead, Creative Vendor.

- External stakeholders to regularly interact with - MoHFW representatives, NIC representatives, Funder offices.

QUALIFICATIONS :

a. Knowledge, Skills And Abilities

- Thorough understanding of project/program management techniques and methods

- Knowledge of Telecommunication and Information Technology is highly desirable

- Excellent written, verbal, research, analytical and communication skills.

- Ability to work under pressure, organize and prioritize workload and meet multiple deadlines.

- Working knowledge of MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint and Word) and program management software (e.g. Basecamp, MS Project etc.)

b. Education

- Masters degree in any of these fields (Social work, Communication, Engineering, Public Health)

- Project Management Professional (PMP)- certification is a plus

c. Experience

- 10-15 years of progressive management experience with at least last five years in the development sector in a leadership role

- Project Management of any government project is a plus
