Area Sales Manager - Agriculture

Responsibilities:

- Manage agriculture inputs sales in 8-12 districts in Maharashtra consisting of 25-30 sales staff

- Ensure sales, logistics and cash collection processes are followed

- Conduct audit of district offices

- Train sales staff

Preferred Qualifications:

- Graduate/Post Graduate in Agriculture/Rural management

- At least two years experience in managing sales teams, preferably with top agriculture inputs companies

- Should be comfortable with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word

- Should have exceptional networking and communication skills

- Ability to function in an uncertain startup environment and have an entrepreneurial bent of mind

- Should be eager to do a lot of running around and hands on work

- Need strong family support to excel in such a fast paced startup

- Unquestionable integrity and dedication to the cause of Desta to increase income of poor people on a large scale

Location: Jalgaon/Mumbai

Travel: 50-75% time would be spent in travelling to district offices and field areas

Compensation: Competitive. Compensation cannot be the primary driver. We are looking for leaders who can grow with the organization for many years to come.
