Architect - Infrastructure Architecture - Telecom

The Infrastructure Architecture function provides Enterprise Architecture, Technical Architecture and Solutions

Architecture services across all technology domains in IT Infrastructure Delivery ( Networking/Telecoms, Client Service, Enterprise Services and Data Centre Services ) and the main activities are to:

- develop technical strategy & standards

- communicate these and train IT staff in these standards as appropriate

- implement the architecture through business solutions

- control & govern those standards.

Knowledge & Experience / Qualifications :

Business

- Experience of Financial Services, particularly retail, commercial & investment banking.

- Knowledge of Banking & Trading systems and business processes in Financial Services

- Knowledge of data networking and telecoms

Technical

- Knowledge of Conferencing, Contact Centre, Data Networking, Telecoms Management Systems, Trading Floor and Voice environments

- Knowledge of Solutions Architecture principles & frameworks

Other

- Ability to build & maintain relationships with business, senior management, technical & development teams

- Ability to explain & discuss technical concepts to all levels of expertise depending on the audience

- Ability to champion ideas from concept through to production

- Ability manage & motivate staff through direct or functional management

- Typically educated to undergraduate degree level
