- Main Purpose of Job

Direct Tax - Litigation/ assessments support, Technical support, Inter-department coordination in compliance/ implementation

- Main Responsibilities / Job Summary

- Responsibility to handle direct tax including corporate tax, transfer pricing, international tax

- Represent the company (along with seniors) in front of tax authorities for all audits, investigations, assessments, appeals

- Understand and respond to all technical queries from operations team related to direct taxes

- Coordination and interaction with consultants

- Preparing tax return and co-ordination for completing the tax audit and ensure the completeness, accuracy, timeliness of return/tax audit.

- Track latest developments/changes in direct tax laws and its implications

- Work closely with finance team while resolving direct tax related matters

- Suggest tax compliant tax saving measures

KPIs

- Complete support indirect tax matters including litigations pending at various appellant authorities

- Provide support to operational units within the company and plants

- Represent the company (along-with seniors) in tax authorities

- Support in compliance risk assessment (review each commercial transactions from tax compliance perspective)

Knowledge (Technical / Functional)

- Direct taxes - Corporate tax, transfer pricing, international tax

- Experience of working in a team as well as working on own

- Interaction with external advisors

Qualifications

- Chartered Accountant (preferable 1st attempt) &

- B.Com

Experience

- 5-6 years post qualification experience

- Experience in Manufacturing Industry

- Practical knowledge of handling direct Taxes
