Key Roles & Responsibilities :

Primary Role Description :

- The candidate will be responsible for ensuring Compliance with various laws and Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India (- IRDAI- ) regulations which are applicable to the Company.

- The candidate will prepare the compliance plan, ensure timely updating of the compliances in the compliance tool by the respective departments, monitor the compliance requirements on a regular basis, and communicate any new or additional requirements to all the internal stakeholders.

- The candidate will assist the AVP - Legal & Compliance in preparing of various monthly and quarterly reports to be presented to Management on the progress of compliances, reporting of any deviation and corrective actions being planned.

- Timely tracking and communicating all new and revised regulatory requirements to the respective business teams.

- Conducting in-house training sessions to ensure that the business teams are clear with the requirements of the regulations.

- Assist and advice business teams on the interpretation of the IRDAI regulations.

- Ensuring that the Compliance Tool is updated at all times with the legal and regulatory compliance requirements.

- Ensure mapping of the respective stakeholders in the Compliance Tool and also ensuring timely and correct submissions in the Compliance Tool.

- To prepare a compliance calendar and ensure strict adherence to same by the respective business teams.

- Ensure that the advertisements of the Company are compliant with the regulatory requirements.

- Assist with tracking and submission of data for and ad-hoc regulatory requirement.

- Assist in preparing of various monthly and quarterly reports to be presented to Management on the progress of compliances, reporting of any deviation and corrective actions being planned.

Key Requirements - Education & Certificates :

- LLB or LLM

- Excellent verbal and written Skills

- Proficient user of Microsoft Office packages (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)

Key Requirements - Experience & Skills :

- 6 to 8 years- experience of insurance industry in large growth-oriented multinational or joint venture company

- Preferred from insurance or banking industry.

- Functional knowledge of insurance sector is beneficial.

- Good communication skills, flexible.

- Good interpersonal skills and good team player.

- Strong result orientation.
