Head-IT (Digital)

Primary Role Description :

The Head of Digital enables a seamless connected experience where the customer meets the enterprise and gets served through a variety of channels - generating revenue through better retention, cross-sell and upsell and accomplishing the core mission of customer centricity. He will be in charge of the digital business strategy, online services across web, mobile and social platforms and oversight of website applications and infrastructure.

Key Roles & Responsibilities :

Process & Stakeholder Management:

- Achieving business goals by designing, building and maintaining high caliber digital solutions

- Provide innovation and advice to the businesses to enhance the use of existing digital solutions to support the business goals for Customer Experience and engagement and promote the use of new technology

- Maintain and nurture relationships with business partners up to COO level. Embed deeply with the business to be able to understand commercial, competitive and regulatory drivers of the business.

- To be seen as a reliable go-to technology consultant, trusted advisory and an extension of the business team

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to avenge and implement features that improve user experience, support content, marketing, social integration etc to provide a competitive differentiation

Project Management :

- Preparing and distributing architectural vision, goals, standards, structure, behavior patterns, models, to all affected stakeholders

- Advising on technical solutions, standard integration methodologies and the alignment of business and technology

- Understand various technology and digital solutions available in the market or available internally and work closely with both vendors and the in-house application development team

- Web based development

- Design a series of digital platforms that may include article writing, blogging, Social media and advertising, to build brand recognition.

- Elaborate and map business requirements into functional and technical solutions leveraging AWS and Google Services.

- Develop solutions and suggest improvements based on application capability & industry best practices

- Checking conformance to standards and architectural decision and resolving design and architectural conflicts by explaining and justifying design and architectural decisions

- Identifying technical risks and problems in the design, implementation and at run-time. Establish strong project management processes to ensure high quality and timely development and delivery

People & Vendor Management:

- Supervising designers and developers in terms of technology and design decisions

- Monitoring conformance to design standards and decisions during the implementation

- Provide a digital framework structure to test results of any given campaign utilizing a range of analytical tools.

- Work with vendors and other developers to deliver an Enterprise class solution for Entrust Energy.

- Support all formal documentation of solutions, including requirements for product extensions, design doc, test plan etc.

- Performs digital audits to identify gaps in tagging, functionality, reporting, and analytics capabilities, and make recommendations to improve these capabilities over time

- Drives best-practice, recommend end-to-end solution design and data flow architecture (across multiple channels, platforms and data sources) based on business needs

- Keeping a firm pulse on emerging technologies and shaping technological direction by evaluating and selecting 3rd party vendors

Key Requirements - Education & Certificates :

- Degree in Computer Science or equivalent with at least 8 years of relevant experience.

- 5+ years of experience in the design, development and implementation of applications.

- 2+ years of experience with web development with Django, Python, JS, HTML, CSS

- Database implementation and optimization with MySQL, Mongo, Elastic search and Redshift

- Web application infrastructure with RabbitMQ, Celery and server configuration on AWS

- Software architecture and reporting with big data analytics on social networks

- Development experience with iOS in Objective C, C#, C++, Java, VB

- Minimum of 5 years- experience with Google Apps (Forms, Sites, Drive, etc.)

- Minimum of 3 years- experience with Google Apps Script and AWS

- Experienced individual with Cloud applications such as NetSuite, Workday, Salesforce

- Experience developing applications on cloud infrastructure such as AWS or Google Engines.

Key Requirements - Experience & Skills :

- 5-8 years experience in an Analyst role with experience in Digital Projects. Preferably from E-commerce. A Techno- Functional experience is preferred i.e the person should have 1 - 3 years of programming experience

- Experience in developing and implementing enterprise digital business strategy

- Have familiarity with digital marketing and web content management processes and concepts

- Capable of forward thinking plans and strategy on use of digital technology across different channels web, mobility, social

- Deep understanding of how to leverage digital technologies for customer engagement and experience

- Strategic insight must be coupled with a strong execution orientation and an ability to deliver results

- Adept in collaborating with cross functional teams and deploying technology to build successful solutions and create a digital edge for the company

- Extensive experience working with creative and/or technical development of web based solutions and emerging technologies
