Summary of Job :
- The Dean shall have the primary responsibility for representing the views of the college faculty to all groups and persons external to the college, particularly to the central administration of the university.
- The dean shall be responsible for the administration and efficient conduct of the educational program of the college and for integrating the plans of the college with those of the university.
Job Responsibilities :
- Leading the school and ensuring objectives of the school and University are met.
- Ensuring the school achieves excellence in academics through innovative teaching methodologies; up gradation of existing staff, proactive changes in curriculum and assessment methodologies.
- Evaluating existing courses, its relevance and suggesting improvements within guidelines.
- Based on industry requirements conceive, design, develop and implement new courses ensuring all regulatory requirements.
- Encourage and enhance research within the school. Encourage team to focus and guide research students and/or projects.
- Mentor and guide Ph.D scholars.
- Sharing and adopting best practice from other schools.
- Evaluate assessment criteria and suggest changes as and when required.
- Regular monitoring of Regulatory guidelines/procedures defined by Authorities / Management.
- Ensuring proper documentation for all regulatory purposes in collaboration with Registrar, COE and Academic Registrar.
- Lead regulatory Audits and investigations as and when required.
- Responsible for upholding culture through communication, positive approach and inculcating and maintaining strong ethical standards.
- Timely escalation of issues / concerns impacting students / staff / culture of organization.
- Responsible for building strong stakeholder connect, orientation, transparent communication and being approachable.
Job Knowledge (Prerequisite) :
- Strong Academic, Administrative, Teambuilding & Leadership skills.
- Good Communicator and should have a command in the field of expertise.
- Outstanding legal credentials, including legal publications
- Guided successfully at least two scholars for Ph.D., and published at least eight papers in singular or as joint authorship in peer group reviewed national or international journals.
- Should be well acquainted with the various Accreditation Agencies and Statutory bodies and the procedures.
- Should have strong linkages & network with the industry & academics.
- Industry experience as internal legal counsel holding eminent position or Legal Practice would be preferred

Education Qualification & Experience :
- Ph.D. Degree in the concerned subject/specialization
- Master degree (LL.M) in the subject with not less than 55% marks or with equivalent Grade or CGPA.
- Minimum 15 years of experience in teaching/research/academic administration in a University or/and in any of its affiliated College or/and Research Institute or research Centre, wholly or in parts
